"Traveling from Luxembourg to Rudesheim Am Rhein, and needed a place for dinner. We stopped in Bernkastel as we had seen recommendations as to how quaint it was, and we were not disappointed! The town is very scenic, right on a river, and everywhere we went was another great photo opportunity. We stumbled on this restaurant, and decided to give it a try. Inside is very nice, lots of tables with nice, decorative interior. The staff was friendly, and we all chose pasta for dinner. All the meals came out piping hot and delicious, and it really hit the spot. It did take a while for us to be able to get our check, but it wasn't more than we have experienced in other restaurants on our trip. I think this would be a great stop for families, as well as couples, and we would definitely stop there again!"

"omdat wij de local keuken niet lekker vonden ( zout en veel vlees) hebben wij voor dit restaurant kozen. dit was een juiste keuze. vooraf krijg je een versnapering net chutney ed. bij iedere just naam en of rijst. wij hebben de linzensoep vooraf kozen. here zaten weinig linzen in en was eeg zout. hoofdjust kip taj mahal the smaakte erg goed en hij was ook lekker pitty. verder hebben vegetable korma genomen er zat weinig groente in ( voor onze smaak) en veel saus. hij was wel lekker. de aardappelen chat aloo stelde weinig voor dit were 10 small stukjes aardappel op een bedje van sla en tomaat. de johnny salat was prima maar de kijkersvragen en bonen were beperkt aanwezig. samen met een grote fles water 2 glazen wijn were wij €50,00 kwijt. voor ons een goede prijs kwaliteit. as je smaak vol wilt eten is dit een aanrader ten opzichte van de other restaurants."

"We searched for the #1 rated restaurant in this charming Mosel town but couldn't find it - the map address is either incorrect or it has closed. So we went to #2 instead, Cafe Thiesen. This was a perfectly nice experience but limited wow factor. The river trout was not available (not even at 12 noon when we ordered!) so we had a different sort of white fish with spinach. Nicely cooked and no complaints, just a bit ordinary. We also had chips rather than boiled potatoes and these were undercooked -but still nice with mayonnaise! The house rosé was a bit too sweet for our liking. They would take plastic so we paid our Euros 30 in cash. Three stars about sums it up."

"an impressive collection of beautiful old cars, all in a very good condition. someone has done a lot of effort and found time to do all this. definitiw is worth a trip and the entry of 15€ is also justified. the museum is connected via several apartments with a chair and a staircase. they can really take time to look at everything in peace. also the renovated facades of the 60s, 70s and 80s have been made very good, including the facilities. also the employees at the checkout/info are very friendly and have good English skills, where they are well understood as a foreign language. for lovers of old cars and motorcycles, the cylinder house in Bernkastel-Kues is a must and is worth a longer trip."
