excellent service. the plow with the pflugmann was the best of all time. will return, personal and eat brilliant.

A really enjoyable evening spent here. Log fire, knowledgeable and very friendly staff and delicious food…what’s not to like?

Lovely setting and food is apparently very good.Better choice of beers would lead to a higher rating and perhaps a follow up visit.

Don't bother visiting. The starters took 55 minutes to be served and the main took another hour. Needless to say, we didn't order a sweet. Food was only just adequate.

Gorgeous canal-side pub with a wide selection of delicious beers, a fantastic restaurant, and a gigantic garden. Rooms are available and are very smart and well appointed.

I made an unplanned visit here at lunchtime on my birthday and the staff could not have been more welcoming or generous. I very much enjoyed the freshly prepared Chicken Shawarma Flatbread, which was recommended to me.

the dundas arms in kintbury had a little overtaken a few years ago; a little reconspiracy, a nasty in the garden and more. it has recently come under new management and I was invited to try their dinner menu. I had been a few days before lunch and I liked what she served (classical ploughmans and sandwiches) but I wasn't ready for dinner menu (and eat) as well as it was.

Recently went to the wake of my dearest friend of 47yrs who lived on the canal. They demanded a minimum, upfront payment of £3000 for a Wednesday evening. What I saw of the food wasn't anything to write home about either, a spoonful of spiced potato with couscous or a dollop of mash with a couple of cocktail sausages or a scotch egg. I'd like to think something better was brought out but I lost my appetite and didn't go back. And they didn't have original coca cola.It's a beautiful setting and I'm sure it's quite lovely for a few drinks and maybe a room for the night but if you're thinking of a private celebration then I wouldn't bother.

What a find, The Dundas Arms is a hidden gem. It is easy to find, situated just off the A4, in a lovely little village, which boasts a river, canal and train line. The train takes you straight to Paddington Station, ideal for a day out without the car. There are plenty of walks around the pub, either down the canal or through the village and over the public footpaths. Amenities in Kintbury is a small convenience store, bakery and hairdresser. There is also another pub, which appears to specialise in Thai food. The main A4 is convenient for both Hungerford and Newbury. Highclere Castle is only 25 minutes away and is well worth a visit.
