elveden was formerly the magical place to go shortly before christmas, now it is a terrible commercial place with bouncy castles etc. after almost an hour had traveled a bad selection of trees from which you could choose. I. read more

We went to take family including our two Grandchildren to see Santa. It was a cold wet soggy day but the Santa was excellent with the children in our company. We feel the Santa is the best one out of all they see. We have been for many years except for last year and Santa at Elveden Estate always is great!

So on Saturday we went to the courtyard to meet some family which we hadn’t see during lockdown. The coffee shop, courtyard, bakery, and live entertainment were all fantastic last weekend, with a lovely atmosphere. However, our Christmas tree is wilting quickly and we couldn't even decorate it! Despite being kept in water and away from heat or sunlight, it's not holding up. We will have to replace it with a fake tree this weekend. Disappointing.

The service for Christmas trees this year was disappointing. There was a lack of high-quality trees available and the process of guiding them back to the parking lot was long and difficult, with no assistance from staff. The dogs that could have helped were not prepared. There were also conflicts among customers. The distance of the parking lot from the tree area was excessive and confusing.

We dropped in yesterday afternoon for a cup of tea and cake. We arrived at 3.20pm. On entering we were told that they were they could not serve us as they needed to clear up and leave at 4pm. We left but noticed a sign in the window that said they served tea and cake until 3.30pm. We went back in and mentioned that the sign said they served until 3.30 and it was only just past 3.20 at this point. The person went back into the kitchen and someone else came out and made a big deal about allowing us to be the last one of the day.
