Best place for the meat

Shop part is good, staff in cafe are awful, really bad attitudes, it's s shame because food was ok

First time here Plenty of good quality meat ,fish,and veg at very good prices Bakery and cakes to die for

Love to call at bolams love the full monty meat veg pastrys ect all good some staff have atitude but some very helpful and polite

Brill butcher's come here for when bulk buying meats. Best meats for Sunday roast. Good price. The cafe is also pretty decent for a bit of lunch.

Just popped in to day gone right down hill shelves empty food prices rocketed , cold meat now in packets and very poor value for money. Tried to charge me £4.75 for 6 crusty buns. Shame loved to go but won't be no more. George Bolam what's happened was good value but seems greed as taken over.

We called in for a bacon sandwich and a tea. Customer service was very poor and the lady wasn't the most pleasant at all! On paying we were given 2 paper cups plonked on the tray and then she disappeared, thankfully we then noticed the teabags were on a counter after the tills and helped ourselves, it would have been nice to informed of that, maybe she presumed every ones been before. On a positive note the bacon was cooked just right. I think management should look at having a mystery shopper call in and see what service is like!

We go here from time to time and do a freezer fill. We've not had any problems until today ....We spent 72, mainly on bakery items however, we requested 6 lamb mint pies, were charged for 6 but when we got home we only found 5 in the box! These pies were only 1.29 when we first started going to the shop but, like everything else, they've crept up to 1.89, so to be charged for one that we didn't get is very frustrating, especially when you're pensioners on a very limited budget...next time we do a trip down to Bolams, you owe us a lamb and mint pie!!

Went for breakfast today and won 't be back. Cheapest ingredients possible and not much on the plate. No toast just a single slice of cheap bread smothered in marg. Slopped onto the plate with no care and the staff felt like they didn 't want to be there. Flies all over the place with no food hygiene rating anywhere that I could see. The coffee was help yourself from a tin. It looked like hot chocolate and tasted rank. Had to use a dessert spoon to put it in the cup. I wish I had seen the reviews before going and I now know why the cafe was so empty. Possibly the worst breakfast I 've ever had.
