"A very nice place to stay and Ash and Debbie the owners are always pleased to do everything to make your stay special. The choice of breakfasts is substantial and the cooked breakfast are excellent. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of Padstow along a path just across the road from the B&B and not far from Wadebridge. I would also recommend the evening Bistro. The food is excellent. I don't think you could get better. Well Don Debbie, Ash and Adam."

"Absolutely brilliant from entering this fantastic restaurant. It was beautiful from the hosts (Anabelle and Lauren), who could not be more welcoming, friendly, entertaining and always smiling. The food was wonderful. My lemon sole was so much better than at Rick Stein's. The food was to die for, Peter the chef is a food magician, it has just entered into my top 3 restaurants in the world. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back."

"Outstanding! Great welcome, casual fine dining with quality fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. Small but creative menu showcasing locally sourced produce. As others have said, without doubt this was the best meal we have eaten locally, well priced and with good filling portions. Adam, chef, and his charming wife Lesley (owners for 10 years) and the rest of their team should be proud of themselves, the bistro and of course that delicious food. Almost tempted to keep this to ourselves but that wouldn't be fair. We chose Gnocchi, Hake, sticky toffee pudding and a cheese plate. Best tasted Try it, can guarantee you will want to return!"

"I had the cauliflower and Cornish cream cheese soup with their home made bread.. loved it, it was delious and can certainly recommend it to everyone. My other half had ham eggs and chips...I don't normally eat the chips but there looked good and tested wonderful.. cooked and crispy real chips cooked correctly."

"My family and I were staying in St Merryn and decided to make a reservation for dinner at a restaurant. Although we understand that Saturday evenings can be busy, we were disappointed with the overall experience considering the price we paid. The staff were friendly and our drinks were served promptly. However, there were some issues with the timing of our food. One of the starters my husband ordered for his main course took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive, and our mains took nearly two hours to be served. There was no apology for the long wait when the food finally came out. We usually avoid complaining and try to go with the flow, but the quality of the cote de boeuf was poor, with a lot of fat and tough meat that was under seasoned. The hake and potatoes were enjoyable, but the sauce had an overwhelming amount of garlic in it. We requested to have the leftover beef packaged for our dogs, but were later informed that it had been thrown away. Despite the waiter's apologies, we left feeling disappointed with the entire dining experience. It was a shame because we had initially planned to dine there again during the rest of our holiday."
