"The food at this restaurant was amazing, but unfortunately the service was poor. We had booked a table but were running late, so I called to let them know. They told us we only had an hour to eat because they had another reservation after us. When we arrived, we were again reminded of this and made to feel like we shouldn't have come. We were ready to order within 5 minutes, but it took the staff another 10 minutes to come take our order. The same thing happened when we were done eating and ready for the bill - another 10 minute wait. Despite leaving on time, there was no one waiting for our table when we left."

Food was very good. Negativ point, we had to wait almost 45' for it. The restaurant is lovely, but very noisy.

Service was terrrible. It took longer to serve sushi than it did to serve a set of pork dumplings and chicken stir fry. They also never brought back our change £15 approx. .

Friendly, efficient service in a casual and pleasant atmosphere. Aubergine curry and sashimi were excellent, sushi set was enjoyable. Good value, and would definitely recommend for a change to city centre dining.

This was our second visit to Harajuku Kitchen and I enjoyed it even more than the first The location is excellent with the huge picture window looking out onto Bruntsfield and the gothic church across the road. Efficient, attentive service and delicious food.

I am unsure if the restaurant has new ownership. The food used to be top-notch, but now it is just average. The staff has definitely changed. We waited 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order, and she only did so after another waiter noticed we had been waiting. The other waiter did most of the work while the waitress seemed uninterested. This used to be a go-to spot for us, but sadly, it is no longer. We will not be returning.
