I prefer vegetarian options and was very impressed with the wide and varied selection on offer. The waiter made recommendations from the menu to both of us and was very attentive. "First, we enjoyed a taste of their homemade soup, followed by an afternoon tea stand that featured scones with marmalade. The next layer included mushrooms in a delicious cheese and garlic sauce (absolutely fabulous!), pork in a light broth, and sweet potatoes. For dessert, we indulged in white chocolate lemon mousse and tablet. Everything was beautifully presented, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, and all the food served during the afternoon tea was homemade and delicious. It's clear they know their menu inside and out, and I will definitely be returning to Linlithgow, not just for the afternoon tea, but also to enjoy a proper meal. This place is a must-visit! It was not just good; it was fantastic!"

"Went to champneys on Sunday, we had been given a lovely voucher for a birthday. Hadn't been in some time. First impressions, not good, very scruffy outside, weed's everywhere, chipped paintwork. When we got in, I said to a gentleman we had a reservation for 3.30, he looked at his list, turned, walked away, apparently we were just to follow him! Not a word spoken. Pate, undecided on if it's bought or made, bland, tasteless. Burgers came, both raw in the middle, horrible. Second burgers arrived, obviously cooked quickly, charred, burnt and horrible smell and taste. Extremely overpriced poor quality food, and you are eating in near dark, small candle on the table, impossible to see. Avoid."

"We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant. We started with the Soup of the Day, then each had a delicious and massive burger. The desserts were also great. We travelled from Fife to visit and would definitely go back. There is no disabled parking nearby, so I dropped off my disabled wife outside the restaurant and parked at Tesco 5 minutes down the road. The meal was for lunch and the price per person was £30-40."
