"On a rainy afternoon in early May, the "Haus der 100 Biere" proved the right refuge for us tourists: with everybody else somewhere else (probably trying to recover from the Mayday-Party the night before), we had the luxury of choosing a table right at the window. The atmosphere may be different when the place is packed. We were able to enjoy the quiet ambiance with a good view of the pedestrians rushing by outside in the rain. Smokers are seated at the back of the place in a separate box sealed-off by glass walls. Sampling the drafts on tap, we started with 0.3l glasses of the more local brews ("Berliner Pilsner", "Radeberger") and then moved on to the Czech and Bavarian varieties ("Budvar" and "Weihenstephan"). Here we stopped rather than trying all the 10 varieties on tap. More sophisticated and more exotic brands are only served as bottled. The food offered on the daily specials menu (available until 16:00) was excellent and came in such big portions that we had to share. Our favorite was the "Leberkäse" (2 thick slices) with fried egg and roasted potatoes. The single portion was tasty and filling for two - at €7.60, which we found very reasonable given the location!Best of all, however, was the friendly and highly attentive service: many thanks to our host Sina, who deserved every cent of the tip we left!"

I don't think the food was so delicious. We tried more food. But ribs were bad. They were stinky and old.

There's a good selection of all German cuisines here as well as a worldwide catalog of beers. Service can be a bit slow at times, but the food is generally well-prepared.

Visited this with some work clients. Fine general selection of beers, though the British ones weren't very exciting. This would provide a group with a good target if visiting for a few days - or one day of there were a lot of people in the party.

We visited the place early at night. As it was cloudy and raining from time to time we sat inside. We found the place through the Berlin Welcome Card booklet (discount available on food not beverages). Credit card payment is also possible.Great variety of beers and nice food. They were flexible with orders from their menu and that excellent with kids orders. The place started getting busier by the time we paid.

Great selection of beer, terrible service. For a venue with 100 beers to choose from their lack of patience for you, a beer is quite epic. We have revived 0 instructions or advice on beer. Most of the group work behind the bar... or in the service industry and were extremely polite, so I am absolutely confiscated why we get such trouble. Would never go back and advise people to avoid at all costs. Awful. Many Love Andey x

We were looking for great German food and found the food as week as excellent service. Since I don't know German, the waitress helped me select a great authentic German food choice. The three types of sausages, the potatoes and the sauerkraut were absolutely delicious. I am sure this would be one of my favorite places to eat if I lived here! I really wanted to go back but was in Berlin such a short time and wanted to try out other restaurants but if I ever come back this will be one of the first places I go!

So rude, not helpful. Please welcome your guests on arrival instead of staring them still with an empty face. We understand that it is common that there are minimum card payments in Germany, but there is a way to deliver this information to visitors who do not feel like stupid idiots. The feminine server was not only rude, rolled her eyes and unexplained between English and German, but not helpful to tell us where the next ATM was. The muscle bound brute behind the bar was also rude. Why work in the service industry if you hate people like that? Do you get a job somewhere else that doesn't require manners, maybe a gravedigger that matches your personality?

We found this place on trip advisor review to try and find somewhere for a drink when we first got to Berlin. It's a little out of the centre but the subway is easy enough get there anyway, it's definitely worth the trip though. We wanted some local beer, but there Berliner pilsner was out of stock, so it's the house of 99 beers! The barman was very knowledgable on the beer and made some really good recommendations on our drinks which were really good.We also ate lunch here and had some traditional Berlin food, currywurst and boulette both of which were really good and authentic. The pub was really German inside too and great for somewhere authentically German and a great place for beer in Berl...

This is outside the touristy areas, so you get a better flavor of local restaurants/beer joints. They had a decent selection, including some interesting ones. We did not have a reservation and we moved around a bit inside. Eventually, we were able to move to a larger outside table that had been "reserved" but nobody showed up to claim it. (I think that many restaurants put a reserved sign on the bigger tables just to keep smaller groups of 2-3 from sitting there.) We tried some less common beers and ciders, and liked the concept of selling a wide range of bottles. For food, we had some more asparagus specials, chicken breast fillet, some wurst, and all were good (perhaps a bit salty on the w...
