"We spent a week at the beach hotel Fontana, the restaurant is an integral part of the hotel. That was our second stay at the hotel. We had breakfast in the restaurant every morning, it is open for non-residents. All fresh and cooked to order. And being about 100 meters from the sea makes the meal even more interesting. The dinner menu contains many interesting elements. Sebastian Hamester, boss and owner, offers an Asian turn including sushi (the Beijing duck roll) and tempura. The chicken is wonderfully prepared in a completely different way. Steaks are wonderful. Staff, though quite young, are pleasant and efficient."

Es war ein wundervoller Abend im Restaurant HORIZONT und es stimmte einfach alles! Toller Service, super Weine und ein grandioses Essen. Welch eine kulinarische Bereicherung für die Region und dann noch unmittelbar am Meer.Unser HORIZONT wurde auf jeden Fall erweitert und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Enjoyed lunch on the terrace on a sunny afternoon looking at the beach and people strolling by along promenade. Very attentive and friendly service, excellent lunch selection of fine foods. We enjoyed the Hawaiian poke bowl: really tasty, light and yet enough. Highly recommend to go here, we will certainly be back.

If you like sushi or food with a hint of the asiatisch then you’ll love this. Super location on the beach you can eat outside if the weather allows.Wonderful ambiance pleasant staff and excellent imaginative food.A good wine list too. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service.I would go out of my way to visit again . Pity it’s not open all week so check and book before you go but do go!

This beautiful, modern Hotel Restaurant is situated in a wonderful location by the sea, in the charming German town of Timmendorfer Strand. The food is international with a strong Oriental inspiration which makes it very interesting as well as delicious: the Tempura jumbo prawns were fabolous, the selection of fish was incredible too. The wine was chilled to perfection and the service fast, professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Auf der Mittagskarte hatten wir schon das rote Thaicurry gesehen und dann auch bestellt. Sehr lecker! Frische Zutaten, gute Schärfe. Dazu gab es einen offenen Riesling Qba von Erni Loosen. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet, man sitzt sehr angenehm, die Terrasse ist klasse. Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich, aber anscheinend das Niveau das Restaurants nicht gewohnt. Das ist aber wohl ein generelles Problem in der Gastronomie und hat hier auch nicht wirklich gestört.
