"We booked an Italian/Greek cruise and Taormina was one of our stops during a tour that we booked to hike Mount Etna. Needless to say, by the time we arrived here we were all very hungry. As we walked the beautiful streets full of eclectic shops and cute restaurants, there was a beautiful woman dressed all in white that caught my eye. She was elegant and invited us to dine, so we did. We sat at a small table close enough to people watch, yet far enough to be away from the crowd. My son ordered the fried calamari-the best of the trip if you ask me. His plate was overflowing with deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked cephalopods. Our friend ordered caprese salad. Tomatoes in Italy are so much more delicious than in the US! And the cheese just melts in your mouth. I ordered pasta with frutti di mare. I could not stop eating! Every piece of seafood was tender and cooked nice. The seasoning was great too. As we were finishing up our hostess came to the table and we all started talking. She was so nice and even gave us tips about where to go during our nice stop of our cruise."

In pieno centro a Taormina.Molto carino con prezzi adeguati a Taormina. Cibo molto buono portate abbastanza abbondanti. L interno molto suggestivo e personale cortese. Consigliato

Wow.. place has been here since 1950. We had the Caprese salad, grilled sea food platter with Sea Bream, and Tiramisu and Capuccino for dessert!! Food was delicious. Desserts made in house. Live guitar playing in the background. Very accommodating and friendly staff to boot.

Don't be deceived by the appearances these is a great restaurant, we ate here last year and the food was fantastic, we travel all over Sicily and when in Taormina ....always IL CICLOPE... the service was great, but the food was even better, we will be in Sicily in May and we will visit our friends at the restaurant.

We spent a relaxing late lunch here in April. We were treated to attentive service and delicious food. Within the hectic atmosphere of the shopping area of Taormina, this was a gem. We really enjoyed our lunch and meeting the owner who gave us a special drink of wine at the end of our meal because my husband was grieving the loss of his cousin. Highly recommend!

The food was good at least what we could get of it, as it took our entire meal to get the drinks we ordered. We never got the main dishes we ordered after a half hour waiting after finishing our 1st course we decided to blow off the lunch just get the bill and get out of there. They decided to bring us the meals we had been waiting for as well as the drinks to try and get us to pay for them. Service basically sucked horribly the only person who seemed to care was the lady who sat us originally and then came by with the check that she had to correct after we made a stink when the guy came over when we said we hadn't gotten 2/3 of our orders. The ambiance was nice.
