Portiamo sempre i visitatori a Parma qui perché il cibo è fantastico con una vasta varietà da provare; è bello poter assaggiare i sapori di vari piatti. Il servizio è sempre molto cordiale e i prezzi sono incredibilmente ragionevoli. Sono sicuro che torneremo molto presto!

We went to Il Granaio on a Saturday night (six adults and two kids of 6 and 8 years). The environment is that of a typical trattoria; very pleasant. It 's better to go there with a large company, as you can taste among a variety of antipasti and primi piatti. Everything was excellent; including the service. I would definitely go there again! Our hosts in Parma recommended us this one and we were pleasantly satisfied. It's not a typical Parma restaurant, they serve mostly southern Italian dishes, but they're good at that! We just went ahead without the menu and trusted the chef. The selection of antipasti was especially nice and extensive. Pieces of crunchy marinara pizza were also constantly delivered to our table.

the granaio is a beautiful and popular restaurant kept in country side farm style. it is a place where orders are placed through suggestion and discussion with the waiter, rather than chosing from a menu. this and the speed of the exchange can be a bit overwhelming for foreigners. on the other hand, if you do not know what local cuisine holds in store, and you like surprises, the waiter will just bring it out and lay it on for you. the prices are in line with what you order no nasty surprises in the sense of risking a rip off. the food is abundant and good. and the restaurant is well visited at lunch and at dinner time. conveniently very close to parma.

We were excited about experiencing the local produce and dishes of the Parma area. The waiter was amazing from the outset. He explained each dish as he presented it to the table. We didn't need to look at a menu as he guided us through the anti pasta tasing plates, then primi piatti which included tortellini and macaroni. The wine red wine from Montepulciano was delicious. Unfortunately,the evening that started out so well descended into racist slurs from who we presume was the owner. He swooned amongst certain tables collecting random plates and depositing the odd dish at favoured guests tables. Then it started! Questo è un ottimo ristorante in un quartiere periferico di Parma, avrai bisogno di una macchina per arrivarci. Significa "Il Granaio" in inglese e, appropriateamente, abbiamo avuto una vista su un campo di grano (e sui pavoni residenti) mentre cenavamo. Questo è stato veramente uno dei migliori pasti che abbia mai avuto in Italia. Abbiamo optato per un menu degustazione per gli antipasti, quindi la varietà era sorprendente. Ho assaggiato il più bel prosciutto mai avuto, sottile, morbido e profumato. Per i primi piatti abbiamo scelto il menu degustazione di quattro piatti di pasta: il classico Tortelli D'Erbetta locale era ottimo; una bella pasta simile a penne con una leggera salsa al panna...

Mio cognato, un italiano che vive a Parma, ha consigliato questa eccellente trattoria appena fuori Parma in quanto il cibo ha un'ottima reputazione tra i locali e il locale è sempre pieno, anche se a pranzo durante la settimana si riesce sempre a trovare un tavolo. Il titolo di Pizzeria non dovrebbe scoraggiarti dall'visitare questo rustico e tradizionale ristorante in quanto i piatti sono eccellenti, di influenza locale e estremamente freschi e gustosi. Abbiamo semplicemente condiviso diversi piatti di antipasti tra cui fette di pizza spezzate, zucchine fritte, mozzarella con erbe fresche e pomodoro, e un abbondante piatto di Prosciutto di Parma. Non potevamo resistere al delizioso tortelli...

My wife and I got there for dinner just as they opened on a Friday night, actually drove past it the first time because there were no cars there yet . They seated us immediately, at a table that would hold four a good thing, it turned out... , and we got a bottle of the excellent vino rosso de la casa. Apparently there are no menus; our charming and excellent waiter explained that he would start bringing us food, starting with antipasti. Soon our table was covered with plates of antipasti to select from, all delicious and varied, followed by a salad course, choice of pasta, choice of fish, and finally several desserts and caffe.
