The cocktails could also use some improvement. Overall, it is unclear what type of establishment Jack's Shack is trying to be - a bar, a restaurant, or both? Despite reading positive reviews, my experience was disappointing and I ended up going to a chain pub instead."

Such a surprise, looks quite ordinary from the outside but wow, what a great place inside! Service, quality of food, value for money so outstanding.

Just love this place, even the smallest of plates come well prepared and presented. Today had a ploughman’s which was lovely and my wife had a lovely home made lasagne. Highly recommend.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Overpriced, swimming in grease and unprofessional. Clearly a novice to running a restaurant. Think it’s cheeky to charge for a card payment (it’s 21st century) and we were very close to refusing to pay. Will certainly not be visiting again.

Slow service, not very attentive. Food was okay, but nothing to rave about. Didn't have any gluten free bread and wasn't very accommodating in my experience. Waiter had to keep going back to check simple things like soup of the day, if they had gluten free bread, or even cider! Even had to ask for an ashtray, when several people outside were smoking at the table So overall, I wouldn't really recommend this place, though the food was alright, but not worth the price.
