We have been staying at an air bnb for 1 month and was looking for a place to have good food, and we stumbled across the kings arms in Mountfitchet and I can not recommend this pub enough for great fresh food and fantastic staff Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

The pub itself was great and enjoyed visting but the carpark management soured the visit so I would urge caution if staying there and using the car park. My daughter and myself stayed a night here on our last night in the U.K after some other interesting stays. This establishment was a 5Crescendo to our holiday. What a send off. Food was terrible. Ordered a mixed grill. Wasn’t asked how I wanted my steak cooked. When it arrived it wasn’t edible at all the steak was full of fat and gristle. Had to ask for my egg that was missing and the gammon wasn’t even cooked properly. Very expensive for terrible food. Even when I mentioned how bad the steak was I wasn’t even offered another or anything in compensation of. I will not be returning ! Service: 3 Location: 3

Me my daughter have been before (her verdict “the best burgers in the country”! but we wanted to take my husband to show him what all the fuss was about. So we decided to take him for lunch. We travelled the 45 mins to get there were not disappointed! The service the food was excellent! We all enjoyed our meals will definitely be back again. We were sorry we didn’t get our waitress’s name but she was excellent even accommodating our daughter’s fussy request for “burger bun, nothing else, no green, just brown beige!” As my husband said on the way home, “why isn’t this closer to our house so we can go more regularly?” Highly recommend this place! 5/5 Visualizza piatti
