"We fell on this restaurant by chance on the holiday road, and what a delicious surprise. The setting is really nice with a pretty treed terrace, the restaurant is quiet. I especially recommend the carbonara spaghetti which were simply delicious, with the wine of the chickens that accompany them. A small dish on the sound of walkies-talkies used by the staff, quickly erased by delicious dishes."

"The two of us had a very average à la carte lunch. The amuse bouche- one tiny cracker with a knob of cheesy substance. Bread offered, no butter. Octopus and pasta starter was 99% pasta with a few pieces of octopus. The avocado salad was...pretty low on avocado but the dominant salad was at least well presented. For the mains, my toothfish in smoked eel broth was OK if not very memorable; my wife's fish of the day turbot in artichoke broth was a thin and slightly overcooked fillet, not plump and moist as the best turbot should be. The cheese course was very poor, 3 pieces of average and cold Pont l'Évêque plopped on a plate with bread, no butter,no condiments no garnish. Why on earth 3 pieces of the same cheese? My Fraîcher d'été summer concoction was pleasant. The petit fours amounted to 2 toffees. My first choice of white wine from the average wine list was sold out, there were no half bottles or decent single glasses on the list. The service was cheery but a little slow and lacking English. It was the first time during our week's stay in Normandy that we didn't feel like leaving a tip. Overall quite poor and inconsistent for a Michelin started restaurant, bill came to 300 Euros too."

"we had recommended au sablier, and the TripAdvisor reviews seemed very positiw, and we were not disappointed. we went twice, on Tuesday 23rd august 2022 and again on Saturday 27th august, which shows that we were happy after our first visit. the Tuesday evening was relatiw calm and we had no problem getting a table. Saturday was significantly more busy and therefore the employees were more busy with others, and although we probably had a table ok, we were glad that we had made a reservation. in the did, as the people would arrive more people on speckle to the available tables, and there was a little turnover of clientel from foot into the . the eating was excellent, and the entire facility was quite relaxed on Tuesday, with only a small staff team. we went for the 35€ fixed price 3 curs menu, and it wasn't until the end of the meal that we discovered the ~26€ fixed price menu that was only slightly from the more expensive menu in my review. we should have done this, and then we searched for this menu price in every restaurant we visited in the next days. note that on the weekend this cheapest fixed price menu does not seem to be available anywhere, nor was it available in au sablier on Saturday. from all restaurants we visited, this is one where we felt the most relaxed. it would be churlish not to give total appreciation, especially if compared to other places we ate. as mentioned above, we give a total excellent rating, with value for money wfm as very good. if we 'd discover the cheapest ~26€/head fixed price menu on Tuesday we gave 'd an excellent total wfm rating. we look forward to returning! merci!"

"Pour la première fois en vacances à Deauville, nous avons découvert ce restaurant où nous avons très bien dîné autour de plats classiques et agrémentés avec bonheur dont les bons produits sont mis en valeur.Le premier soir tartare de thon, huîtres d'Isigny, cabillaud aux petits légumes et entrecôte de bœuf avec un délicieux Mercurey. La deuxième fois homards au beurre d'algue et au beurre blanc, un délice. Les crevettes toutes bêtes en entrée, servies avec la mayonnaise, remarquables. Et toujours le Mercurey.Un soufflé glacé au Grand Marnier a ponctué notre diner en apportant la juste touche de fraîcheur sucrée.Très bien accueillis, très bien servis, et entourés d'habitués nous espérons nous aussi pouvoir revenir à Augusto chez Laurent !"
