"My wife and I tried to get in on a Sunday evening, early, but not a chance. The brush-off was kind of brusk, which is why I am only giving 4 stars. But there is a reason why you need a reservation, the food and service are really good. This time we made reservations for early on a Saturday evening. And, yes, they turned away a lot of people without reservations.We went to the restaurant hungry and could not possibly finish all the food presented. Just full disclosure. More German portions than Greek. We started with tzatziki, just since we had not had fresh fzatziki in a long time, and it did not disappoint. I may never be able to eat pre-made fzatziki again. The bread was really good too, hot and fresh. My wife ordered a broccoli appetizer, which was good, but it is hard to screw up broccoli. I ordered the cream of tomato soup, which was amazing, although the promised cream was not present. I could have stopped at this point.My wife ordered 'three small pork steaks'. They were not small. Not sure what the sides were, she ate them before I had a chance to sample. The chops were not as tender as we have had, but good nonetheless. I ordered the Helena-teller, Giros, ein Suflaki und ein Suzukiyros, I really had no idea what I was ordering, but everything was excellent. Came with tomato rice and fries, both very good. I wish I could have eaten more, but we took the rest home, so there is always tomorrow.Service was prompt and efficient, perhaps a bit understaffed. To my understanding, there are/were only two other Greek restaurants in town, and one has closed or is undergoing renovations, so this is an excellent choice. (We had a good experience at Ambrosia as well, but Platon is not currently in business.) The quantity of food for the price is a great value. Highly recommended.As long as you call ahead for a reservation!"

"We stayed at the Cafe Flora for a long weekend and are very positively surprised. On vegan options I have tested “Vegane Gaumenfreude”, the coconut milk rice and the vegan breakfast. Add the Power Chai Latte Matcha and cappuccino with oat milk. Everything was very beautifully dressed, fresh and totally delicious. I can recommend the Cafe Flora to everyone"

"Waren für 2 Tage in Bad Harzburg und an beiden Abenden hier essen, weil es einfach schon so gut am ersten Abend war,waren wir auch am 2 ten Abend dort zu Gast, es war fantastisch,hier wird frisch gekocht.Unser Essen wa Rinderbrühe mit Maultaschen,Ente ,Fischplatte Schnitzel mit selbstgemachtem Rösti einfach alles richtig lecker.Nette aufmerksame Bedienung freundlich ,kompetent.Wenn wir wieder mal im Harz zu Gast sind dann auf jeden Fall hier wieder hin.Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis"

"Gewollt und nicht gekonnt! Es sollte ein besonderer Abend in einem besonderen Ambiente werden. Besonders war er auch: Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants war eine unangenehme Hektik zu spüren. Mehrere Service-Kräfte liefen kopflos umher. Wir hatten einen Tisch um 20 Uhr reserviert für das 3-Gang Silvestermenue und das schon vor einigen Wochen. Wir wurden an einen langen Tisch gesetzt, an dem 10 Personen Platz fanden, die sich allerdings völlig fremd waren und eng an eng saßen. Wohlfühlen sieht anders aus. Die Speise-/Getränkekarte bekamen wir relativ schnell, allerdings mussten wir fast 1 Stunde auf das erste Getränk warten. So ging es den Personen um uns herum auch. Das Brot zur Vorspeise bekamen wir gegen 22.00 Uhr, kurz vor dem Hauptgang. Das Essen war, genau wir der Weißwein, durchgängig lauwarm. Wahrscheinlich da man auf alles so lange warten musste, weil die Sachen irgendwo standen und vom Service erst zeitverzögert gebracht wurden. Was den Abend rettete, waren die dicht an uns sitzenden, netten Tischnachbarn/Leidensgenossen, mit denen man mit und über die unglaubliche Situation lachen konnte. Man hatte mit den Personen drum herum des Öfteren Blickkontakt und sah die gleichen verwunderten Gesichter. Fazit: für das Preisniveau muss man deutlich mehr bieten."

"Wer die syrische Küche sucht, muss hier fünf Sterne geben. Authentischer kleiner Gastraum mit einer Dachterrasse mit viel Scharm. Bei warmen Abendstunden versprüht die Terrasse Urlaubsflair. Tolle traditionelle Küche mit frischen Zutaten, tolle Qualität. Super nette Bedienung. Ein ordentliches Trinkgeld bei den Preisen fällt nicht schwer. Wir kommen wieder : ."
