"I was in my hotel room and hungry but not feeling to go far away for some food, so I decided to give it a try even though I saw the prices earlier and they were too high. I was there at 8 PM. As...I walked into the restaurant, the staff asked me how many and took a menu from the bar. I was alone so they put me in a little table in the middle of the room. I saw all other tables were set but mine was recently used so only salt and pepper were there. The waiter indicated where I can seat but before he cleaned the crumbs off the table with the menu all over my chair! Okey... I thought this could happen to anyone, no problem. I sat and waited there until one of the waiters came to me and waited looking me in the eyes. I said hello in german when he came so there is no reason he would feel like he could not talk to me. I asked for a beer and tortellini al gorgonzola. Until the beer came I saw how other people had bread, even when they came after me, they had everything set on the table, including lines. I was curious as I was in the middle next to the bread-table and not to oversee. Beer came and then right away the tortellinis. So my first thought was: it took really TOO little to made that pasta. As I have worked on german hotel-restaurants I know exactly what the thing is: that pasta was precooked and they put it only in warm water for a second to warm it up (maybe just mixed to the warm sauce). I understand that things like this are being done in many places but not in a 12€-pasta-restaurant!! After my dish was there, the waiter threw me a fork and a spoon ?... to sip the sauce maybe Aaaand after I started eating a waiter realized that I did not have a napkin and it was thrown...but wait, this one was thrown from a little too far away while he walked by. Are you serious? It was of course a green breakfast napkin and not a line like everyone had. The dishes are those big plates that use to be very deep in the middle, just that this plate ONLY looked like it would be deeper and it was not! It was like a handfull of tortellinis so I can properly say that I payed at least 10 cent per tortellini. The best thing is about to come... I asked to pay with card and the waiter came to my table and looked at me with nice eyes (I recognize that...ahhh the time to pay and the time to tip, then is the worst waiter the nicer too) The waiter told me: service? And I looked confused so he said: service good? And I was like... mmm yeah When I got my bill and he left I realized that the bill was 16.50€ and the copy of the card pay was 18.50€... I asked to the waiter to make it good and he told me in ENGLISH even if I talked all the time in german: oh! Didn't you know that in GERMANY you have to pay for the service? I replied that I live in Germany and never heard about that, I have been already three days in Munich eating in restaurants and never heard about that. I told him that I would pay it if it was in the bill but I am paying it..why? Are you kidding? If I was going to pay any tip (that I was not because the service was terrible) it would never in the life be 2€. He told me that I accepted that condition when he asked me for the service and I said yes. I was talking a little loud now and told him to give me MY money that I was not ever give to such a terrible place. He took 2€ of his moneybag and gave it to me afterwards. I felt unwellcomed and they treated me very poorly. That thing with the money was so terrible that I needed to take a deep breathe to not shout everyone in the room. If I could give -1 star, I would, really. People, be aware that in Germany you do not pay extra for service. Never. And if you had to, it has to be very clearly written in the menu or in the door. In Germany you do not tip if they do not deserve it or you do not want to, that's all."
