"In the charming village of Chavignol, we had a very pleasant stay in the Maison de la Côte des Monts Damnés in a friendly and family atmosphere. We were received in a professional and warm manner with attention every day. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. We were lucky enough to be welcomed every morning by the bubbly Véronique with whom we had warm exchanges. The gourmet restaurant's table lives up to our expectations, fine and original cuisine enhanced with the best bottles from Maison Bourgeois. The service is efficient and very attentive, well done boys! We recommend this beautiful house and don't change a thing!"

"Walking past several white-linen-clad fine dining restaurants, we were thrilled to find Auberge l'Ecurie on a narrow Sancerre side street. What a refreshing gem it is. The atmosphere is warm and cozy nothing pretentious! The quaint tavern-like room is packed with friendly people talking...and laughing. Servers are busy, but friendly smiling and teasing us on our feeble attempts at French. Local patrons at neighboring tables were quick to strike up a conversation again, laughing and tutoring us throughout our stay. Our meals arrived quickly and expertly prepared again, nothing pretentious just very good, and plentiful meals! Extremely enjoyable evening in this little hidden gem!"
