I've been to La Popote a few times in the last couple of years with girl friends and with my husband and it is unfailingly outstanding. Beautiful fresh and modern dining space, lovely garden if its sunny and the food is really tremendous....

La Popote is our top restaurant choice. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is exceptional. We recently attended the lobster Soiree evening and it was fantastic. We had missed the previous one, so I asked Liam to notify me of the next event, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. The lobster was delicious and generously portioned, and all three courses were delicious. We can't wait for our next visit.

I went to this restaurant on Saturday 1/6 with my wife and family. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious. I decided to try the Frites despite some reservations I had after reading a previous review about the portion size. However, those concerns were quickly put to rest once I saw and tasted them. These are not just ordinary fries - they are much larger, very filling, and taste amazing. I will definitely be ordering them again on my next visit if they are available. Visualizza piatti

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant, enjoying the set menu which included tasty Pil Pil tiger prawns with samphire, a traditional Sunday roast with pork belly, and sea bream with sauce Duglere. The desserts, a fresh and original fruit salad and creme brulee, were also delicious. Everything was excellent and we dined on the verandah in the shady terrace. The restaurant has a French ambiance which added to the overall experience, and we thought it was great value for three people. We will definitely be returning!

Our first visit to La Popote since taken over by new owners. First impression was of a bright and welcoming decor. Staff were friendly and service in general was efficient and pleasant. We ate from the menu for the week which is excellent value for money. Both our starters were delicious especially the garlic prawns. Mains were generous in quantity. The only comment I would make is in the balance of mine, which was confit venison, very rich needing some thing to soften it. More vegetable and more of the raddicio would have improved it. However, a really pleasant lunch and La Popote is certainly worth a visit. We will certainly return.

We took a friend here for lunch on Saturday, we had dined here around 5 years ago. A nice welcome and time for a pre drink whilst our friend arrived. A leisurely pace for lunch and not rushed at all, we all chose the lunch menu. The food was delicious, our only comment would be the price of the side dishes. £6 for minted peas and £6 for fries. My husband had fries and there were 5 in total yes he counted them! The price being charged for sides just seems a little too much in our opinion and did leave us feeling a little disappointed.
