Le Gymnase - Menu

Delicious food, friendly and efficient staff and for once, an English menu alternative which we actually understood! Our last night in Paris made memorable by a great meal. Would return here for sure.

A authentic, out_of_the time parisian bistro, with a family ambiance and fine products: according to my son, the best burger in Montparnasse and for the rest of us, home made dishes from a classic menu, with outstanding products.

Great food, good service, great price! Would definitely recommend. Served very quickly, big helpings of food. Menu also available in English version unlike many other restaurants in the area, which helps those less well versed in French (such as ourselves)

this place is a gem! great food, no matter if you want to try something new or stick with a classic. great prices and fantastic service. highly recommended! my husband and I have eaten here several times, not once disappointed! if you're not sure what to get, go for the special of the day :)

This restaurant was only a few hundred metres from our hotel and we called in to try a snack. We (4 people) were so impressed with the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff, many of whom spoke English, that we returned a further three times. Would recommend for breakfast, snacks and evening meal.

Somewhere I heard that the best way to cook seafood is not to cook it at all. I figured that if that is true, it is probably true for other foods as well, so for lunch we had salmon tare-tare and steak tare-tare. The steak with served with a raw egg (of course!), capers, red onions, french fries and salad. The salmon was served with a salad. Both were absolutely delicious. The service was great, the outdoor seating comfortable. I really really loved this restaurant.

This was an amazing place to eat at. A family of 5 of us stopped in for a late lunch. The price was on the lower side so I was expecting smaller portions. I was flat out wrong! Portions were amazing. My daughter had the grilled cheese with ham, tasted great. I had the tartare and it was so tasty. My other daughter had a kids hamburger which came with a full plate of food and ice cream for 8euros. My wife's burger was huge and cooked to perfection. All in all, the food was cooked perfectly, the service great and priced wonderfully.

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here a few days ago. I received a very friendly greeting when I entered. The service was great. All the employees were working very hard and efficiently while maintaining their graciousness. The English menu was very helpful for me. I had the escargot as an entrée. Delicious! I of course used the baguette to soak up the rest of the delicious garlic butter sauce. My main course was the Sole over vegetables, swimming in a fabulous butter sauce. I again used the baguette to soak up some of the sauce, so I could enjoy every ounce of the delicious sauce. I will definitely return again.

We went based on glowing TripAdvisor reviews. Le Gymnase is a very friendly bistro just off Blvd Montparnasse. We went early evening and it was just half full. Very friendly and accommodating staff, with excellent English. The food is average - my carnivorous son loved the entrecôte, but my wife was disappointed that the salmon tartare was no longer on the menu. She substituted with linguine in a pesto sauce, which was just ok. I ordered steak tartare, which was sadly also unavailable. I substituted with a "steak of the day", which was ok.
