"We happened across this wonderful family-run restaurant on a Sunday evening when so much else was closed. In between the Place Carnot and Place Gambetta, it looked inviting yet unassuming from the sidewalk, a quick look at the menu confirmed it was in our price range (8€-12€ per entree) so we popped in. The very friendly couple who owned the place were very pleased to serve us at 9:30 on a Sunday night. We chatted for a bit ( the owner speaks just a little English, but they had an English menu, and everything was quite clear and easy. We ordered the Saffron Shrimp, and Pork and veggies over noodles. I tried the Polish Bison Grass Vodka, it was Deeeelicious. When our meals.arrived, it was appealing on all levels, visual, smell, taste. The veggies with the noodles were still crisp yet well cooked, the shrimp dish was simply DIVINE! If we were in Carcassonne another night I would eat there again. Very much recommended."

the food was over priced and the atmosphere not very original, but to be fair very few oriental restaurants here

Small Oriental Restaurant. Could get a little cramped when full. Good food at reasonable prices. Well patronised (a good sign !) on Saturday night. No credit cards.

We went for the first time a few weeks back and were not disappointed. The food was freshly prepared to order and was good, very tasty and generous portions. Would go again for sure.

I wish i could say more. The main course was enjoyable but the starter was presented with salad that i would have thrown away. Going brown on the edges and seen better days it does nothing for my appetite.

Happy to find some vietnamese food in this little city. Noodles are ok, the nam was pretty decent (with fresh lettuce and mint), and the duck curry was delicious. I suspect their other duck dishes will be good too! Nice find :)

A small if what strange restaurant where the chef/owner produces average vietnamese meals, while serving and cooking at the same time .Would be a good budget place for lunch but what is disturbing is the place is so cold, the service is so very slow and all the while you must listen to bizarre jazz music.Would be difficult to repeat the experience unfortunately.

A hidden gem of a French Vietnamese restaurant off the ‘tourist track’ in the centre of the new part of Carcassonne. If you are jaded from the French cuisine offered to tourists then a visit to this restaurant is a ‘must do’. Owned by Philippe and his Vietnamese wife Anne, the food is superb and rates as one of the best restaurants that we have eaten in during our 2 months in France, Spain and Portugal. Philippe has a pretty good command of English and is a very convivial humour. In summary: quality superb and the prices very reasonable.

"Visited today for lunch after reading a recent review about the high quality of food on offer. We were not disappointed! It was superb. There were 3 choices on each of the courses with one vegan option on each course. I had chicken fricassie which was the most delicious chicken dish I've had for a very long time. The meat was so tender, it fell away from the bone; the mushroom sauce was deliciously tasty - it wasn't over seasoned. My OH had tofu wok which he really enjoyed. Both were served with rice and runner beans. The starter was a dish of 2 types of melon one of which was watermelon, with feta. We didn't think it sounded great but we were very wrong. It was served with a dash of vinaigrette made with a light oil, a tiny bit of honey and toasted flaked almonds and was surprisingly interesting. All the flavours worked so well together. For dessert OH had the cheese plate with 3 different types of cheese which he loved but it couldn't have been better than my raspberry Eaton mess which was particularly good as it wasn't overly sweet. All for €18 each AND it was all organic! We sat outside in the courtyard which was a very pleasant area. The ambiance throughout was of calm. No background music, no clattering noises or shouting from the kitchen area. It was a little oasis of refined lunchtime dining, The service was impeccable. The young man who served us was very impressive and able to tell us what ingredients were used in the vinaigrette. It goes without saying that the high standard of food and service were also reflected in the high levels of cleanliness throughout. We only wish we'd discovered this place sooner and will be back again as soon as I can trust the OH's arm"
