"I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring Edinburgh and decided to have lunch there. Initially, the appearance was decent but didn't give away how charming this little restaurant really is. The staff were exceptional and friendly, adding a great vibe to the place. They were great with the kids and provided quick service despite being short-staffed. Their suggestion of brioche with ice cream for dessert was on point and really hit the spot. Even my wife agreed that it couldn't have been better. The Focaccia sandwiches and pizza for the main course were also delicious for both adults and kids. The price for lunch with dessert for a family of four was reasonable, especially for a city center location. Don't let the appearance of this place deter you, take a chance and grab a seat - you won't be disappointed!"

Lovely place by the station in Edinburgh! Best pizza I’ve had this year. Super friendly people made us feel very welcome. Kids loved it. The ice creams were amazing. Not expensive either. All in all a great lunch Extensive menu.

We stopped by while shopping in Edinburgh and we are so glad we did. The chocolate cake ice cream was delicious, as was my latte and my partner's cup of tea. The food others were eating looked amazing too. We will definitely come back here next time we are in Edinburgh.

Visited this with three family members. Three of us had a very tasty mini breakfast and one had a toastie which was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not a very big cafe but tables separated and contact details taken from each of us. Food was so good that we returned for tea and cake.

We were staying nearby on a room only tariff so had breakfast here two days running. Fresh food, quickly prepared, tasty and healthy. Fresh fruit salad very tasty. Good hygiene measures for Covid. Too early for ice creams (unfortunately) Staff were hilarious and provided warmth and entertainment. Would highly recommend

Really bad service and food. I ordered a plain crepe with a side a Nutella and banana and a hot chocolate. Since they couldn’t sell me a banana I went to the store next door to get one. The waitress wouldn’t let me eat it inside the restaurant. I am lactose intolerant, so I ordered the hot chocolate with soy milk, would not recommend; flavorless. The crepe was hard and cold to when served. Not coming back.

As gelato lovers, we were highly impressed by this restaurant and it met our high standards. The only downside was that we wanted to eat more (so we returned the next day and indulged again!). My friend, a coffee aficionado, raved about their perfectly made macchiato. Even though I'm not a huge fan of coffee (I find it too bitter), I decided to try their americano and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it was. If you find yourself in Edinburgh, be sure to stop by this place - it's a must-visit!

Absolutely loved this place, great to see a restaurant run by an all lady team! Who were, by the way, fantastic. So friendly to all our children (13, 6, 4 and 1), couldnt have made us feel more welcome. Food was also superb, the children had meatballs which they loved and even asked if they could come back the next day. The puddings were also lovely, generous portions and super tasty. Could not recommend this place more, great team of friendly staff and superb food ... what more could you ask for! Thank you!

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
