The King's Head - Piatti

Sunday lunch was excellent! The food was delicious and the service was good. The venue was beautifully decorated and a lovely atmosphere.

Under new management with a new menu. No longer the restaurant Mezze as far as I can see, which wasn't much, as we went there to try it Sunday lunchtime and it was closed.

Clearly been recently refurbished and aesthetically pleasing. Friendly service. Just had drinks but all served really nice. Big gin goblets etc. Children welcome and high chairs available. Visualizza piatti

Absolutely could not fault anything, greeted and taken to our table by Sam, given a glass of bubbly, and served by Kia and Tiana, we enjoyed both courses and then the boss came and took a picture fantastic thanks to all especially the chef ‍

Visited with family initially and was so good a week later came back with wife. Good beer selection the menu is different and imaginative and in this day and age reasonably priced. Had the Thai red curry from the specials board it was excellent. The decor is modern clean and welcoming I would recommend. Dursley needs places like this.

We had Christmas lunch here and it was an excellent experience. The pub itself is nicely presented but it had made an extra effort for Christmas Day and it was laid like a restaurant. Starter was a platter of canapés and an espresso cup of very good butternut squash soup. Christmas meal was good. Dessert (I chose baklava) excellent. Coffee was one of best I’ve had (cappuccino). Visited for Sunday Lunch. I chose 2pm, when they had started serving at 12, but this did not affect the meal at all. My husband had the beef, which was lovely and pink in the middle, I had the vegan nut roast, with my own pot of delicious vegan cauliflower cheese! It was all very good, the vegetables being perfectly cooked. Thankfully we didn't have a starter, and couldn't manage a dessert. Service was timely, although by this time it was quite quiet. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again.

Went for Saturday lunch waited 10+ for waitress (only 1 on duty) to order a drink. Waited again for our food order to be taken. The prawn stater…well you buy it out of a packet stick in the oven for a few minutes and serve…with a high price, all you could taste was the crumbs don’t know where the “prawns were”. We waited 45+ minutes for the main dish…..wow lovely presentation….BUT…the lovely “Lamb Pie” was nothing like lamb but just a mush of mince/meat? Tasteless, the vegetables were well under cooked….just with a bit of gravy on the side. Most of the meals we had we could not eat due to the undercooked tasteless vegetables. A brilliant evening. Great beer and excellent wines to accompany a super dinner. Very imaginative menu with good range of dishes. All the food was well presented and perfectly cooked with good portions at a most competitive price. I had the anchovies as a starter followed by the Lamb and potato pie (with lovely dauphinoise potatoes and vegetable selection) with Treacle tart as a dessert. My three friends chose different dishes, including the steak all of us were really impressed. The organic Merlot was a perfect accompaniment to the pie. The waiting staff were very attentive.
