"Staying nearby so decided to visit this pub for a late afternoon dinner. Children’s play area outside and little wooded area which the kids enjoyed. Easy to park, but couldn’t find the entrance, think the car park is at the back and has to go up some steps and through a gate to find the front door. Nobody welcomed us so I went and found some menus. We found a table outside and then went back in to order drinks and food. Food came quickly. I had sweet potato and butternut squash curry with chips and rice. Chips were ok, but didn’t taste fresh, nobody else liked them. Curry had a nice taste, but skin was left on the butternut squash, which ruined it. Bacon and Brie baguette was nice. Kids Mac n cheese was good. Scampi was poor quality. Kids meals came with ice cream. No other desserts offered for adults. Disappointing, won’t return."

"Oh dear!!! Soup from a Can& Bland Chicken. Landlady Smoking and drinking bottle of Wine in the Snug room next to the Bar, yes we did see you after we had ordered. its more of a locals place where no-one cares if people smoke in there . Think the Owners need to retire and shut up shop. more of a **** Up the Inn. Shame as could be a nice place if cleaned up served home cooked food rather than out of a tin."

"Thank you to Moyra and her team for fitting the 5 of us in at very short notice. The 2 roast meals were excellent value for money and arrived absolutely piping hot. Both the beef and pork were succulent and portion sizes were plentiful. Both the scampi and cod and chips were well cooked and beautiful crispy outside/ soft inside … just as we like them! The final ham sandwich plate was just as good as the rest. The dessert of bread and butter pudding with custard certainly silenced the table ….. very very delicious!! The garden is beautifully kept and even the sun shone for us so yes, I would recommend this place if in the area."

"Great spot for some delicious fish and chips! They have a rating of 10 for parking, with options for free street parking. Service is quick for takeout, with a meal type perfect for lunch. Prices range from £1-10 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a 5 out of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Beans Chips and Cod Bites. The only downside is that finding parking can be somewhat difficult."

"I cannot complain about the food we had but the one lady in particular who was serving us was quite frankly rude. Told us where we could and couldn’t sit, to then when serving us was rude, my partner asked for a small chips to go with his meal in which she responded with ‘they’re only one size anyway’ then before I had even finished saying my order she went to walk away. Didn’t seem overly bothered about working here and totally lets the place down. Very rude women. (Dark hair/highlights with glasses) and also answering her phone while behind the counter. Other staff who served were lovely though. (Lydney)"
