"New York New York is a large restaurant in the central sea front restaurant area of Cannes. It is an attempt to serve French style American food. Entering the restaurant appeared to be quite complex as there are several entrances that appear to pose as the welcome desk. After being spoken to loudly and in my opinion rudely, by a waiter, I did eventually find the correct place to wait where I was finally located a table.I was given a menu promptly and asked what I would like to drink. No drink card appeared to be available or if there was I was not given one.I ordered a bottle of Belgian Leffe. I was also asked if I wanted a bottle of fizzy water. I had to specify that I wanted the free tap water as it was not offered My choice of food was the chicken burger and fries. Again it was served almost instantaneously. Although the food was well cooked and well presented I found it to be very bland and highly over priced at over 21 Euros. The filling of the burger was made up of reconstituted chicken covered in a coating of breadcrumbs. ( very similar that provided in U.K. Super markets in a pack of 2 for less than 5 pounds)! It was in fact s much larger version of that found at McDonalds. The fries were nicely presented in a metal can but were swimming in fat, were very greasy and one was burnt. They were warm rather than hot. The cheese was a very fine layer of soft cheese spread. The best part was the small salad. As I found the meal to be tasteless and blandI I asked for some ketchup. I had to shout after the waiter who at first ignored me. This was eventually plonked in front of me without a smile. Although clean and inviting. I did find the interior of the restaurant to be rather dark and gloomy. Where I was seated there was no air conditioning and I found the restaurant to be very hot and sweaty. Overall I found the restaurant to be very overpriced for Cannes and a poor attempt to provide France style American food. However looking around I did see people eating dishes such as Caesar salad and Salmon and they looked more appealing. I often eat French style American food in France and from experienced New York New York would not be as high on my list as other restaurants. The restaurant could perhaps improve by making greater efforts to welcome customers eating alone. Perhaps also free nibbles could be offered as part of a welcoming strategy along with making a drinks menu available. The staff could perhaps make a more conscious effort to welcome customers who have chosen their restaurant above the other half a dozen or so near by."

It has a very good quality of food, very nice atmosphere, and big variety of dishes. Prices are ok and it's right across to the Palais de Festival so it's really in the center of things...

It's a shame that success has reduced this restaurant to mediocrity. ALL of the food was generic and rather tasteless. I was an early adopter of this institution but sadly will not frequent it anymore.

We went with a group of friends for lunch in this crowded place and got a nice table. Service was ok but the Caesar salad I ordered was one of the worst I ever had. We had dinner at New York New York after walking past in the afternoon. The cocktails were great and the food was also good. We were pleasantly surprised as were rather skeptical. Service was very good. Drinks and food came very fast and were very tasty. Emanu our waiter was brilliant and friendly. Will return for sure.

We have heard about Ny ny from many of our friends for many years but this is the first time that we decided to take the plunge and visit it as it's in a touristic area of Cannes. The food was 7 out of 10 but we will go back as the service was impeccable. Gilles was amazing! Friendly, efficient, welcoming and knowledgeable. He is a great asset for such an establishment and made our experience soWonderful. Hope his superiors appreciate his qualities.

We had some great fun eating here, in this convenient location close to the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the port and the carrousels for the kids. We chose the picanha for three, and it was cooked as it was desired (of course, it took more time to be served than a hamburger, so think about it if you order it). A good point was that we asked for a tomato salad among our side dishes, what doesn't come on the menu, and that the waiter came back to warn us that this extra would cost Eur 12,- because made of special heirloom tomatoes but that we could still call off.We really enjoyed the family lunch, and we will certainly go back! We were welcomed in to the restaurant and asked to sit and wait. Fine, it was busy which we thought was a good sign. Not so much. We were seated within about 30 mins. Our order was taken and when our meal (finally) came (long wait) only my husbands arrived, we wanted to eat together and after waiting and waiting we had to ask the waiter where the other meal was. He ended up taking my husbands away, said he's put in under heat and bring both together. We waited longer, they finally both came but without all the sides we had asked for! It was expensive which we don't mind if we had had a good experience. The steak itself was good though!

I was very pleased to see a restaurant having an actual dish on the menu marked 'vegan'. So we decided to give it a go. I had the vegetarian pizza, without the cheese so it would be vegan. It was a great pizza full of grilled vegetables and cherry tomatoes, straight from the woodstone oven. The herbs on top really added great flavour to it, we also had some garlic and herbed mushrooms which were absolutely amazing ❤️ Would recommend going here if you're vegan and having a hard time finding vegan options in Cannes. I have yet to try the vegan raviolis (marked as starter dish), as I don't think it would've made a great starter with the pizza, it might be an idea for this restaurant to actually...
