"This is a very small restaurant located quite far away from the main harbour. Staff were friendly and food was okay, but definitely overpriced. My partner and I were very keen to visit this restaurant after reading some amazing reviews, however, we were disappointed when we arrived. The restaurant’s website claims it to be the most romantic restaurant in Italy and 6th most romantic in the world, however this is a bit of a stretch. The restaurant is very small, accommodating only around 6 tables in total, 5 of which had a sea view. Since we visited for dinner, we couldn’t appreciate the views very much as it was dark outside, but I imagine it to be lovely during the day. The food was pretty good, my partner ordered the lasagne and I had the shrimps (I thought I was ordering prawns as stated on the menu, but I was presented with shrimps). The lasagne was very good, but I was far from delighted with my seafood as it wasn’t as was described on the menu and was simply overpriced. Albeit, I thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu, and ended up getting another! The website asks for a €40pp deposit when making a reservation, which can be reached rather comfortably, however this restaurant is not ‘high end’ enough to demand such high deposits. There are plenty of other restaurants in Amalfi serving cheaper food, in more convenient locations with no deposit requirement. Overall, I didn’t have a terrible experience, but it did not live up to the standards I was expecting after reading so many raving reviews about it. It essentially felt like I was sat in someone’s living room that had been rearranged to look like a restaurant with average food and cheap table/chairs etc, making this experience far from ‘the most romantic dinner’."

"Ristorante situato in una piccola piazza di Amalfi adiacente alla piazza del duomo. Personale cortese, disponibile e attento alle esigenze dei clienti. Materie prime di assoluta qualità, quelle a base di pesce meritano una menzione particolare per la bontà e la qualità del prodotto offerto. La carta dei vini è eccellente con prodotti di alta qualità. Prezzo adeguato alla qualità delle materie prime, alla qualità dei piatti e alla posizione."

"Eccellente! Non è necessario essere esperti gastronomici per affermare che un piatto di tagliatelle con gamberi e pomodorini sia davvero delizioso. E che dire dei ravioli di zucca? Il dessert, poi: millefoglie scomposta ai lamponi... Sublime. Eleganza e semplicità sono protagoniste al ristorante Raffaele, con cibi squisiti e un personale sempre sorridente e gentile. Il menù di stagione è fantastico, con piatti tradizionali rivisitati e ingredienti freschi. Ci siamo trovati davvero bene, ma la sorpresa finale è stata il conto: davvero economico per quanto abbiamo gustato e per il posto in cui ci trovavamo. Torneremo sicuramente a Ravello, e la nostra tappa culinaria sarà il Ristorante da Raffaele... Grazie grazie grazie!"

"Una vista incredibile sull'acqua, e abbiamo avuto uno spettacolo di fuochi d'artificio venerdì sera per il nostro anniversario. Il buono: Parmigiana di melanzane, il pesce del giorno era ben cucinato e burroso (anche se servito in modo molto semplice con spinaci). Il non così buono: ravioli al l'astice. Non terribile ma niente di stupefacente. Questa non è stata la nostra migliore esperienza culinaria del viaggio ma sicuramente un ambiente romantico."

"Ogni anno trascorriamo le vacanze estive ad Atrani per cui conosciamo bene molti ristoranti della zona ed in particolare quelli che si trovano nella pittoresca piazzetta di Atrani. Ieri sera abbiamo prenotato un tavolo da Mistral ed abbiamo mangiato molto bene ad un prezzo giusto. Il pesce era ottimo e Danilo, che ci ha serviti al tavolo, e’ stato come sempre molto gentile e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta. Consigliamo vivamente questo ristorante."
