"Auf der Suche nach einem sehr guten Restaurant, das montags geöffnet hat, sind wir auf das L‘ancora gestoßen. Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Erstklassiges Ambiente, tolles Servicepersonal auf dessen Tagesempfehlungen man durchaus Augenmerk legen sollte und ein fantastisches Essen in 3 Gängen hat uns einen wunderbaren Abend beschert. Für uns eines der besten ital. Fischrestaurants in der Region. Empfehlen wir gern weiter."

"we were here a few times, both with family and friends. the position is on the stairs, so not accessible to all. but the service and eating is exquisite. the personal is attentive and friendly, eating that is made with love from fresh ingredients (except from the popadoms that all seem to come from the same provider for all Germany). the corma is delicious, the curries freshly made (not as at some others put again warmed) the rotis and naan brot is always baked to perfection. a jewel in oberursel."

"Went there for dinner. Food was average, but level of service is so awful that i have to write about it: receptionist greets with „Buona Sera“ but when i responded in Italian that i have a reservation, she admitted she doesn’t speak Italian ...other waiters instead don’t speak a word of German after 10 minutes finally a junior ? waiter came to take our drink order; he wasn’t allowed to take the food order 10 minutes later the senior ? waiter took our food order. Either he has the attention span of a 2 year old or he’s just useless: 20 minutes later they brought 3 out of 4 dishes; they had forgotten a child’s pasta they food i ordered was incomplete too after dinner we asked for two espressos and the check; they never brought the check after reminding them 3 times we finally got the check from the senior ? waiter; they never checked back we simply walked out; the junior ? waiter saw us walk out, looked into the other direction and walked off, instead of thanking us for paying this awful place a visit! If that’s how they operate, they’ll be out of business within 12 months!"

"Anlässliche eines Jahrestages haben wir uns dieses Sushi Geschäft in Bad Homburg ausgesucht. Die vorangegangenen Bewertungen sprachen recht hoch über das Restaurant und als Freund von (gutem) Sushi mussten wir uns das dann auch mal gönnen.Vorweg sei schonmal gesagt, dass es preislich merklich über den "klassischen" deutschen Sushi Restaurants liegt. Dafür kann man etwas mehr erwarten, als vorgeformte Reisbällchen und kühlschrank-temperierte Maki.Das Ambiente ist ein mix aus japanisch minimalistischem, kitschig buntem und Streetfood-Stil. Neben schönen Bildern findet man ebenso diverse DIN A4 Blätter mit Speisekarten-auszügen an der Wand.Der Geschmack der Speisen ist dem Preis entsprechend etwas überdurschnittlich. Die verwendeten Nori sind nicht so salzig wie anderswo und der Fisch schmeckt einen Tick frischer. Auch das Tamago-Nigiri, für uns eine Art Qualitätskontrolle des Restaurants, kann sich sehen und schmecken lassen.Parken kann man im nahegelegenen Parkhaus über dem REWE Supermarkt, auch wenn es für die heute Generation der "Ich-bin-breiter-als-du" SUV Fahrzeuge etwas eng werden könnte.Alles in Allem ein sehr leckerer Abend. Leider war neben uns eine 10-köpfige Gesellschaft, welche einen Heidenspass am reminiszieren an alte Zeiten hatte und dies lautstark kundtaten. Dafür können die Betreiber natürlich nichts."

"On our first visit (this already tells you how good the food is) my wife and I ordered one dish and a glass of wine each. Very tasty, nicely presented, and the wine proposed by the waiter was excellent. So we decided to go again...for lunch a couple of days later, and ordered the set menu. For a low price, you get an hors-d'oeuvre, a starter, a mains, and a dessert. Each of these was very good, and the wine proposed by another waiter again excellent. The negative was the extreme pressure we felt to get it over with. Time and again, the waiter came to check if we were finished with one dish and quiclkly came with the next. We like to take our time, and flet extremely rushed to finish our meal. A shame, because it really was very good, and deserved to be enjoyed at our leisure."
