"I alte at this restaurant and had a great time. The food was good. I had a steak tartare and some pasta. I finished off with a semifreddo made of mascarpone cheese that was very interesting. The restaurant is unassuming when you walk by on...the street, but there is a very nice courtyard with large trees in the back. There was also a guitar player that went from table to table playing Italian songs. He was pretty good. I go to Karlsruhe several times a year, and this is one of the nicest restaurants there. I wl certainly be back when I go to Karlsruhe. The restaurant is centrally located on a street behind the Postgallerie/Europaplatz. Easy to get to and near many other attractions."

It is well located in center. Food is fantastic. Sea food is especially fresh. Interior design is morden and comfortable. It is definitely a great place to spoil yourself or even better with friends.

The quality of food is great, the wine chart is complete with a broad spectrum of choices; the service is efficient and warm as well as the atmosphere. They don't panic with a huge group of noisy latinos. The experience was great!

I do not know where to start with this beautiful serene exemplary dining listing! All I know is that I needed a pace that would symbolise an epitome of elegance, simplicity, a delicacy in atmospheric value of a restaurant and the best calm customer service,...and I got it here. The whole experience of my birthday celebration was beyond what words could phrase. This place deserves a Michelin star rating! Thank you for a memorable experience.

This restaurant is a must in Karlsruhe! The food is amazing, top quality produce cooked obviously with love by an extremely creative and talented cook. The boss, service staff and the cook are very, very friendly. Fantastic food in a beautiful restaurant with a happy,...relaxed atmosphere. I can't understand how anyone can complain about the size of the portions or about the staff. If I want to stuff myself, I can go to McDonalds. If I want a lovely evening with fine food, it's got to be Portale. Just perfect!
