"Looked forward to dining at Gogärtchen as I have enjoyed it for many years. Was shocked following my experience tonight. Was seated in bar area despite the fact that the outside dining room had plenty of available space. Service was initially pleasant. Server took my order for salad, entree and drink. Salad was delivered within minutes. It was ok, but not up to the quality of previous meals here. I waited politely and patiently, for an hour, for entree to arrive. The server never returned to check on me despite looking at me numerous times. Another server asked if I wanted coffee. I told him I would like my meal first. My server finally returned and ask if everything was ok. I advised that I hadn't received my meal. She seemed surprised and then told me her colleague hadn't entered my entree into the order system. Nor had she bothered to follow up. I asked to speak with Patrick, the manager. He slowly came to my table. He offered a very unsatisfactory explanation: It is the end of a long season and the staff are tired If this is true, he should close the restaurant instead of providing loyal customers poor service. He offered nothing in the way of apology. Perhaps this explains why all of the restaurants on the Strönwai were busy and lively and Gogärtchen was nearly empty. Terribly disappointing. I will contact Michelin to report."

"We had a reallynice dinner here but it was also the most expensive during our visit to Sylt. We arrived and ordered two Aperol Spritz, it was ok. But unfortunately the smallest I have ever had. We decided on variation of salmon to start with...which was very nice. One portion of halibut with truffelrisotto with champagne sauce and one portion of Northsea cod with vegetables, salt potatoes and mustardsauce. Maincourses was also very nice, mine with the halibut was beautiful in combination with the risotto. The dessert was one portion of sorbet ice cream, three different types and one portion of red porridge with vanilla ice cream. We had a bottle of white wine and two glasses of dessert wine, and ended the meal with two cups of coffee. We had a good time and the food is a bit more expensive here but it is also good, value for money. And we would come back."

"Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte, und alles war absolut super! Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!!! Update 1.1.24: Wir waren gestern zum Silvester Menü bei Florjan's. Es gab 7 Gänge, die allesamt sensationell gut waren. Auch unsere Tischnachbarn waren extrem begeistert. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir waren heute gleich noch einmal dort und wurden wieder nicht enttäuscht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!"

"We chose to try out this restaurant after all the wonderful reviews and I guess that is the problem with reading reviews. You go with high expectations. We ordered two different burgers and a portion of the house fries. The meat was very good and done medium, just like they stated in the menu. Excellent. The veggies that came with the burger were very fresh. I had the bacon burger. Unfortunately, I felt that the burger was spoilt by the sauce. There was just too much of a creamy sauce at the bottom, on the bread, and because the rucola and fried onions were stuck to it, I couldn't really scrape it off cos I wanted to eat the lovely veggies and onions. The other burger, the Jalapeno burger, was good and the jalapenos were really spicy. :)I felt the big disappointment were the homemade fries. They seem to have been made of mashed potato, piped into hot oil. The mash soaked up the oil while being fried and came out as strings of oil-soaked, crunchy 'fries'. If you order these, you mustn't be someone who eats healthily cos one portion of these fries will kill any diet you've been working on.Didn't try anything else but the lady at the next table ordered a bratwurst and she said it was good.The seating area in the garden is lovely. I'd recommend going to this restaurant but avoid the homemade fries if you are health conscious and tell them to put the sauce on the side."

"the villager has always been a dance in kampen. the greater the challenge of the new owners, which have been launched since the end of 2016, and they have mastered them very well. the ambiente as always very cozy, modern Frisian chic with a high feel factor. now an attractive outdoor terrace with outdoor bar. the young and very competent manhood is excellent and refreshingly easy to walk around with the guests. you feel comfortable right now. eating a successful combination of meat and fish from the grill, nice selection and combination of salad vegetables and potatoes, very nice also to choose between two weights for steak and fish. the starters also top! we had a Beef-Tataki, which is of equal value, then a small beef-filet and lamb fillets from the grill...... all on the spot and with very tasty supplements. the very good red wine selection completed this evening, unfortunately the last day of the trip. we're coming back!"
