Went trying to get lunch, one little outdoor seating area full but they have two other areas outside empty and inside was also empty. Waiter did not even acknowledge us while walking past several times and when did get attention just said no No apologies...or explanations as to why couldn't sit in other areas or even saying it's a minute wait or similar. Just a rude one word answer barely breaking his stride.

The tables outside on a sunny day are bliss and the food was pretty good too. Quite expensive but I guess you're paying for the location. The snag is the service. The staff seemed determined to avoid eye contact and everytime we needed something we...had to actively seek them out. Once finally seated we watched as other diners arrived and milled around waiting for attention and to find out if they could sit in another outside area which, peculiarly, was closed. The restaurant was once the home of the vintner for the adjacent vineyard.

Friends took us to visit San.Souci Park in Potsdam and we stopped at the Drachenhaus for lunch. I am unable to comment on the standard of food and service we didn’t stay to find out! The appalling standard of customer service was to blame....Despite plenty of empty tables they were unable to provide a table for six people for lunch. We suggested pushing two tables together to accommodate us but that was a”push” too far. The answer was an emphatic no. We would have to have two separate tables or nothing. Our German host remonstrated with the waiter but the waiter was adamant, we couldn’t all sit together for lunch. The final insult when our friend informed the waiter that we were the customer...
