"Well, I have visited this restaurant before and so went back to see if the experience before was one off or whether it was consistent. Pleased I went back! I had the liver and rosti, for my main. The starter of the winter salad was a good indication of what was to come. Simple with a nice dressing. The dining may not be 'fancy ' but the food was really well done. And the jus that accompanied the dish was so so tasty. I followed up with the pear struesel which was accompanied by a serving of ice-cream. To describe the dessert as a sort of pear-Sponge doesn 't do it justice. So so nice. Maybe could be a bit more moist but I was happy. Staff were a bit cool on entry because busy but they warmed up and had a lovely chat at the end. When back in Basel, I am heading back. If heading there I would highly recommend."

the fischerstube is a great restaurant, was with the family in summer on the dach terrace. the service was friendly and fast, eating delicious. come back!

The beer was good, and the food was as well. The terrace was a nice surprise and offered a nice location to enjoy the warm weather. Casual place to have a good discussion and nice evening.

in the Basel-Tatto, we have enjoyed a whole weekend in basel. our way led by the fischerstube, one must for the Basel-lover. service was good, despite many people on the terrace. we only have a Ueli beer gone in all rest.

Nice enough place one block from there street back from the water in a street that is "restaurant row"Varied menu, with staples of burgers and schnitzel too. Aires interior. Plenty of room. Service very good. Had a good curry. CHF 48 per head for a salad, a curry, a cole and a coffee. Quite pricey. Not worth going out of your way for.

typical restaurant in a characteristic area, crossed the kidney compared to the center. the building and the rooms are those of a classic bierstube but in the beautiful season you can also have lunch on a terrace and in an internal courtyard. the menu offers typical dishes together with more usual proposals. but what drives to return to this place is the ueli beer, produced on site and really excellent, to try in its various declinations. we returned to the brewery in summer after having tried it in winter. dinner in the dehors, little enlightened unfortunately, but in the warm evening we were well. Although there was no excellent ginger beer, I assume because off season, we drank the excellent ueli bier and eaten dishes characteristic for this type of local: stylus, potatoes, sausages etc., it is advisable for those looking for a place of this type, near the long kidney. price in the basic norm.

We were in this brew-pub more than 20 years ago, and returned back today. Nothing has changed, still the same cozy neighborhood atmosphere. Most guests were locals, which is a good sign. The pike (egli) on asparagus and Hollandaise was delicious. The these days hard to find sour livers (suuri läberli) on rösti was as it should be, just perfect. For dessert the rhubarb bieramisu (no, this is not a typo) hit the sweet-sour spot precisely. For drinks I had the 4-beer sampler, followed by a full dose of the one I liked the most among them, a procedure I would recommend. Service was friendly and attentive. We will come back, for sure before another 20 years.

"War ok. Ich habe hier zum ersten Mal bestellt aufgrund der Bewertungen bei eat.ch (ausnahmslos 5 Sterne). Ich selbst bin Koch von Beruf, aber sehr rücksichtsvoll was Beurteilung anbelangt. Normalerweise mache ich immer ein Foto, aber dieses Mal war mein Hunger zu gross. Wie gesagt, es war ok . Ich hatte Schweins Cordon bleu mit Pommes Frites und Tartare Sauce bestellt. Das Cordon Bleu war äusserlich nahezu perfekt, nur seltsam, dass es exakt wie ein Poulet Cordon Bleu aussah und insbesondere die Konsistenz unangenehm weich wie Butter war. Normalerweise sieht es beim Schwein ungleichmässiger aus und bei der Konsistenz spürt man einen merklich festeren Fleischwiderstand (if you know what I mean). Die Pommes Frites waren definitiv nicht frisch, sie waren bräunlich, was eigentlich nicht schlimm ist wenn der Grund zu langes frittieren wäre, aber sie waren zusätzlich auch noch zäh und nicht knusprig, was darauf hinweist, dass sie entweder viel früher zuvor schon einmal zubereitet wurden und längere Zeit herumlagen und dann erneut frittiert oder aufgewärmt wurden oder anderes. Da meine Bestellung über 50 Sfr war (ich hatte zusätzlich noch 1 Flasche Tequila für 45 Sfr bestellt), gab es aus der Auswahl an Softdrink oder Rotwein 2 Dosen Coca Cola gratis dazu. Nicht auslassen möchte ich die Aufmerksamkeit und entsprechende Bemühung, Kondenzfeuchtigkeit zu vermeiden, welche daraus resultierende Lapprigkeit bei panierten frittierten etc. Produkten also auch bei Pommes Frites und Kruste vom Cordon Bleu vorbeugen soll, weshalb der Verpackung Zewa Papier hinzugeführt wurde. Temperatur war nur warm wenn überhaupt was jedoch für mich persönlich kein Grund für Punkt Abzug ist, da ich es als akzeptables Dilemma von Lieferservice Bestellungen einstufe (auch wenn ich zugeben muss, dass die Gerichte von anderen Restaurants mit ähnlich entfernter Distanz zu mir heisser oder zumindest wärmer waren). Es kann nie dasselbe sein, wie wenn man direkt vor Ort im Restaurant isst. Daher habe ich im Vorfeld schon den Ofen vorgeheizt zum Aufwärmen. Ebenso bin ich mir der Grundlage der Preisgestaltung bei Home Delivery Lieferservice bewusst, sprich dass es immer teurer ist. Ich muss aber auch hier zugeben, dass ich gefühlsmässig eher abgeneigt bin, (zumindest dieses Gericht) zukünftig bei Pizzavip nochmals oder weiterhin zu bestellen, weil es mir nicht 29 Sfr wert erscheint. (Nebenbei zu eat.ch bemerkt: Etwas, das mich irritierte war die Angabe der Bewertungen bei eat.ch. Wie gesagt, ich hatte mich daran orientiert (ausnahmslos 5 Sterne). Da wie sich herausstellte eat.ch bei schriftlichen Bewertungen auf max. 260 Zeichen limitiert ist, griff ich auf Google Maps zurück um dies zu posten. Ich war überrascht zu lesen, dass die Bewertungen dort anders waren als bei eat.ch (mehr Variationen sprich weniger Sterne und schriftlich detailliertere Einträge). Also eben NICHT durchweg ausnahmslos volle 5 Sterne was mich misstrauisch machte und mein Vertrauen diesbezüglich in eat.ch dahingehend veränderte, dass ich in Zukunft Google Maps konsultieren werde anstatt mich an eat.ch zu orientieren. Fazit: Der Tatsache, dass jemand die Aufmerksamkeit besitzt und sich die Mühe macht, Kondenzfeuchtigkeit zu vermeiden gebührt eine gewisse Anerkennung und somit ist eine entsprechende Zuversicht und Wohlgesinnung, dass Pizzavip im grossen Ganzen bestimmt gute Produkte produziert kocht nicht verkehrt. Daher in Einbezug dieser Haltung entscheide ich mich vielleicht doch dazu, noch ein (zweites) weiteres Mal hier zu bestellen. Dann vielleicht halt eher Pizza."
