You can also visit in bad weather. Great view, large terrace. Price performance is right. Come again. I can't judge hotel rooms.

Best plaxe to enjoy the view over all the mountains and Lake Luverne while havind delicious food. Lukas the host is very friendly and will tend to all ypur needs. Try the cordon bleus!

I recommend this restaurant. they serve traditional food chips, cordon bleu etc., but above all their supplies were good. also great with children because of the playground right next to the restaurant.

We had spent some hours gliding over the alps so we were hungry. The Berg' was a perfect place for lunch. Sitting outside in the sun with stunning views of the lakes, five of us enjoyed a tremendous lunch.

this restaurant is simply stunning. high up in the mountains, it looks at the sea of lucern, the people were beautiful, very welcoming, eating was great and when the sun went down all the small enclaves around the lake you saw how all their lights went... up, it was like a fairy. we went with the family who lived in the opposite, otherwise we would never have known that it existed.

This was a superb experience. I hiked to the hotel and was well received. I just wanted to leave my backpack at the reception, but in the end I was allowed an early check in, which was great. The facilities are simple but clean, the view is breathtaking. They had an extra attention with the fact I'm vegetarian, I felt really welcome. I will definitely come back, wish I had stayed longer.

The road up the hill has alot of curves however it is well worth the climb, the restaurant offers a perfect view over the Swiss Alps and lake Lucerne. The food is typical Swiss/German, we had the cordon bleu which was fabulous and a schnitzel,...the portions are quite big and it was perfect as we were starving. But what we enjoyed the most is the view, being able to eat in this location with this view was perfect.

Having visited Schwendelberg restaurant now several times, this place is always on our to-do list when having visitors in Luzern. The view from up here is simply breathtaking, and surprising driving up through the forest. The food is the traditional mountain food which means...on the heavier side but good quality and value for money. Also for children there is a playground. We will for sure keep coming here, and can highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Gasthaus itself, so we were treated to their inclusive breakfast. Fresh breads, paired with an excellent esspresso, homemade jams, and locally sourced cheese and honey made for a very enjoyable meal. The restaurant is open all day, which is a great...aspect if you have children. Dinner here was superb! I REALLY recommend their house specialty (pork spareribs and pork chops). You should really pair it with a side of their vegetable spatzle with cheese. Like the food offerings for breakfast, their meats are also locally sourced, and the freshness shows! It is always a good sign when local Swiss (non-guests) make reservations to eat here. I really recommend this restaurant.
