On business trip. Besides nice and high sualit food : Friendly service, kitchen well organised on planning (my salad was there 5 minutes after order and the pizza 5 minutes after salad was removed). Definitely a place to recommend.

If you want to taste the Italian hospitality in Essen, this is the place. They not only have the Italian food but the entire experience. Technically speaking they could be better here and there but who cares ? It's Italy ! - the taste is not only in the dishes. Wonderful food in a very informal environment.

In during the week I visited the place for lunch and dinner .Very tasty restaurant with a homely atmosphere. A week had passed since my last visit, but again I want to go to Lorenzo! :)))European cuisine and Italian, the prices are very reasonable. Considering that I am Italian, I need to say that it is difficult to find real italian dishes here, but some places, like this are very good in keeping the recipes as much as possible close to the original ones. This place has good food and very good service. Close to the Sheraton hotel, no need from there to walk somewhere else to find good food and environment.

After numerous visits, I am still thrilled. La Osteria offers me everything that makes my visit an experience. Here a concept of extra class has emerged that I can only recommend to everyone at the most. Secret tip: let yourself be surprised by putting the chef's menu together. Top service (very attentive) Top kitchen (very high quality). This restaurant is my personal best recommendation.

This small trattoria in Essen, near Düsseldorf, has been a great surprise. In a warm environment you can have very good Italian food, with excellent and fresh suggestions.You can feel here as you were In Italy.Highly recommend for families, even with small children or groups of friends.We suggest to make reservations.Prices are very reasonable based on the quality of the food.Excellent choice!!

This is a real find......the food is excellent, as are the drinks and service. I wandered into this place and found a friendly crowd of local people to talk to and great food (cooked just right with excellent taste). Even the owners said hello and treated me great. The waiter was a really nice kid from Italy. The prices are also fine.........excellent value for the dining experience. If I lived in the area, this would be my "place to go" restaurant. Excellent!!

The restaurant is just located 2 min walk from the Sheraton hotel. The moment you enter, you can feel the Italian ambiance, from the cheerful welcome to spectacular goodbye. The food was really very good. We liked the Bruschetta and both the spaghetti pomodoro and the Alfredo fettuccine. The service was very professional and accommodating. All questions were answered with curtsey and even some ingredients were brought to the table due to the language barrier as they weren’t fluent in English, but still did their best to make sure they provide good service . Famous people have eaten here, including the German Chancellor Angel Merkel. Very much recommended

We took the advice and booked a reservation some hours before dining. It was the last momen to do it. So I want to pay it forward and for free for you friends. Make the reservation. This seems to be very popular restaurant at weekends.We felt very welcome when we entered there. After I introduced us the waiter knew immediately who we are and sounded like he was there only for us. The place was well crowded so the only free table there was for us at the moment. Waiter was little bit apologetic about the fact that the next reservation to our table was booked so that we had one and half hours time to enjoy our meals.
