Russian beer turned out to be a risky move, but great shaschlik as a unique dish. the menu from the best on cold days, especially for those who choose, by tradition, to drink vodka. atmosphere, style furniture and good service.

good news, for a restaurant on the edge of a tourist site we didn't expect much. and the boss was super nice and welcoming and we loved his specialty, the samowar. Russian flat. It's not a gastro either, but you're feeling family cooking. We loved bcp. We recommend it.

While the many samovars give a Russian air, the atmosphere could be more specific. Smiling and pleasant service. the Georgian coconut at 15€ and the lamb at the georgi at 17€ are succulent. I just came back from a one week trip to Russia and already felt like Russian food again. Samowar was close to my hotel so I gave it a try. I had a gorgeous dinner. The "herring with potato coat" was delicious (and huge as a starter), and I had Solyanka as second dish which was also good. As drinks I had kvas, as always, highly recommended. The best was the music, though. Reminded me of my first trip to Russia back in the 90s. The dekor is said to be from Zaristic times. Not sure about that but it does look nice.

We went here after finding two other places were full. They were full too but they rearranged some tables to fit us in. So glad they did. They were doing a buffet of Russian dishes and it was amazing. Food was so good. Up to that point on our visit to Berlin the food had been disappointing but this one restaurant really redeemed the whole city.My wife is from Ukraine and we both really loved just trying all the different dishes, new ones for me and old favourites for her. If you go to Charlottenburg Palace, or just like good Russian food - or good food - I really recommend trying this place out.
