Scalini's Gosforth - Menu

Visited here for a treat for our dad for Father's Day! Everything was very relaxed food was nice,as was the Rose wine!!! Lovely if you want a casual meal out.

Disappointed. I ordered bruschetta. Very simple starter you would think you just can’t go wrong. It was awful, bad enough to complain which is something I rarely do

We have been here several times and food is always beautiful. Service is really good and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decorated.

Booked a table for 5 and we had plenty of room. Didn’t feel rushed but we weren’t forgotten either. Just a nice friendly , professional service. We all loved our food, and reasonably priced too. Lovely atmosphere, food and staff.

We decided at the last minute to eat out and were lucky enough to get a table at Scalini's. The restaurant was very quiet as we had booked on the final sitting of the day. We both enjoyed our meal immensely and our waiter was very attentive and polite. The food was cooked to perfection. We will definitely eat at Scalini's again.

Place is very nice, service from the waiter was average. Many people working there but took a while to be seated and once seated to be served drinks and order food. Food took 50 mins when the place was nearly empty. One half of the food was nice (lasagne), my pasta was terrible. Feel like they’d forgotten the order and rushed to get it cooked when we complained about the time it was taken. Have been here once before and it was lovely

I had made a reservation for a birthday dinner for six people on a Thursday evening, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed due to some issue with the kitchens. There was no one available to speak to, just a note on the door. I was disappointed that they didn't contact me by email to inform me of the closure, as it would have saved us the trip. We ended up going to Davanti in Tynemouth instead. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the original restaurant in the future.

I made a reservation at Scalinis Gosforth near Three Mile for my daughter's 12th birthday on Wednesday, August 15th at 7pm. I booked online and received a confirmation email. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we found it closed with no lights on and a notice on the door. The website stated that it was open, so we were disappointed and had to quickly find another place to eat at a local pub. We were very disappointed and will not be returning when it reopens. It was especially upsetting as it was my daughter's birthday. I hope this review reaches the person in charge.

We live within walking distance so that's always a plus point but after my last visit in July 2017, when the food and service were distinctly average, I decided I wasn't going back. However my 7 year old kids really like the place so to end the half term holidays we decided to return. I asked for one of the booths when I booked online and we got one so that was a good start. We all had a pizza's which were food though the choice on the menu has reduced significantly from a couple of years ago. Service was really good and although it still wouldn't be a personal choice of mine I'm guessing we'll be back. The food just needs to be a bit more exciting better.
