we are very regular diners here when we are for football and spicy rich are never disappointed (in contrast to football lol) fantastic eating great setting and excellent staff

I didn't think we would come in without booking, but the restaurant was quiet when we came in and sat pretty fast, the restaurant wasn't long after. service was excellent as the food was. would be very good return and will be back!

unfortunately we arrived in this restaurant and were turned off as "the kitchen had closed", although I advertised to be open until I would recommend if they were planning to look later in the evening that they look at other places. Visualizza piatti

What a lovely meal, tried some new dishes and was pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere was good and service excellent. Only thing you really need to know is BOOK the amount of people they turned away was staggering could have filled the place twice.

My sister booked a table over instead of after looking at the booking for the evening the members of staff found us a table to accommodate all of us. Once again food was of the highest quality and no complaints from any...of the group. Looking forward to our next visit.

We have eaten here many times over the years and it's always been lovely. But it's been a while, so we came here last night with a group of friends and I can honestly say it's the best indian food I've ever had. Way above...the average Balti or Jalfrezi you usually get at an indian restaurant, the spicing was perfect, lamb tender, and don't know how they get the rice and naan so different to other restaurants. I must also mention the staff who were so genuine, friendly and helpful, a real credit to the restaurant. We had a fabulous night and will certainly be back soon. Visualizza piatti

We dined here on a Monday evening, pre-booked to ensure we were in a quiet corner as two of our group have hearing difficulties. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was served very quickly and came to the...table well presented and piping hot. I can recommend the Manchurian curry, kind of sweet with a little spicy kick, it was delicious as were the meals of the rest of our party. Poppadom, starter, main course sharing a rice and naan bread with a couple of drinks all for just over Excellent quality, great value and wonderful customer service. Looking forward to going again next time we are in Sunderland.

We made an online reservation and were a little worried when we only received confirmation ninety minutes before our arrival. However, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and very cozy. It was a pleasant surprise to see linen napkins on the tables. The menu had a wide variety of options and we were impressed with the unique choices. Our food was delicious and presented beautifully. The service was attentive and the prices were very reasonable. This restaurant is a great choice for a meal before or after the theater, or for any special occasion. The only downside was that while the women's restroom was beautiful, the men's restroom could use a new toilet seat.

We visited early evening on a wet and windy Thursday. They were busy but said if we waited minutes we could have a table, waiting area was comfy and cosy. We ordered starters mains and drinks. Everything was just delicious!! Poppadums and dips were...great especially the pineapple chutney. Rices were hot and fluffy and light and the main dishes all very good and totally distinctive. Peshwari nan was gorgeous. Portions are exceedingly generous, The waitress, we didn't get her name but she has an unmistakable Sunderland/Australian accent was so friendly and chatty as were the other mebers of staff.
