Unicorn Cafe - Piatti

This is a lovely little Cafe within the Castle! Variety of hot cold foods..but my Scones were Delicious! Also exceptional Staff...

The Unicorn Cafe is conveniently located within Stirling Castle. It's a lovely spot to take a break, and the food is quite delicious. We enjoyed some lentil soup and scrumptious slices of carrot cake.

Perfect place to stop for excellent food while visiting the castle. They have all kinds of options including vegan, vegetarian, etc. We had the macaroni and cheese and the carrot and lentil soup the best! Best place to stop when at the castle. Visualizza piatti

We had lunch here which was very reasonably priced. It was lovely to have a hot meal inside. We returned for drinks later and enjoyed them on the picnic benches outside. In the summer there is a rooftop terrace so you can have your meal with a view.

The soup is wonderful, and you receive a generous bowlful. However, the bread could be stored in a way that prevents it from drying out around the edges, as it comes in a nice, substantial piece. The staff is friendly, and the service is outstanding.

Excellent! I had a special dish which was dedicated to King's coronation-chicken balmoral with whiskey sauce,potatoes and veggies. It wass absolutely delicious! I couldn't resist and afterwards, I had a coffe and a chocolate cake-not sure about the name. Again fantastic! Being 6 years in Scotland, this was the best meal I had so far here! Loved it! Had a quick lunch here while touring Stirling Castle. Self-serve line moved quickly and the food (salad for my wife, soup for me) was quite good. Tables needed cleaning, but one was quickly made ready by one of the staff. We enjoyed a reasonably priced lunch in decent setting and were able to continue the tour quickly. I don't know if there are other lunch choices here, but this one was certainly what we wanted.

I enjoyed the sandwich I had. They heated it up and it was quite delicious. My husband had the macaroni cheese, which he said was ok , but didn 't finish and said it wasn 't all that warm. The side of roast potatoes he had were also cold, despite being on a hot table. Perhaps the hot table was malfunctioning? Anyway, the sandwich I had was delicious, so maybe stick with that or soup? The cakes and such looked delicious, but we didn 't try any of those.

I had a rather stressful lunch experience. I picked up two kids' lunch boxes but discovered there were no sandwiches inside, so I assumed they were made at the counter. When I got to the till, I learned that I had to pick them up from a separate fridge at the entrance, which had a very limited selection (only cheese sandwiches left). This meant I had to leave the queue to get the sandwiches and then rejoin the end of the line. There were no signs indicating where to find the sandwiches, and the food displays were mostly empty with no hot food available.
