We went there for a meal, so I have nothing to say about the accommodation. The meal was everything it ought to be: great food, fabulous atmospheric surroundings and excellent service. Highly recommended. Service: 5 Location: 5

We went for lunch with friends and had a very good three courses! We all had very well presented plates of food and good portions too! The only issue we had was an 'overcooked ' burger but it was resolved to our satisfaction. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value

Visited the Talbot Inn for lunch during a Saturday. The setting and atmosphere is great, the drive there is stunning (from Bristol) and the staff were extremely kind. Food was also great. We ate here having not visited for many years. This is a beautiful British coaching Inn and I can imagine the views from the rooms must be stunning. It's a picture postcard village and the pub is charming and offers upmarket food and wonderful friendly staff. Worth seeking out. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view

Food drinks: Had a delightful lunch in this exquisite 350 year old coaching Inn. We 're veggie so used to indifferent 'veggie options '...thankfully not at the Talbot, lovely staff too. Recommended Noteworthy details: The Talbot Inn is located in Mells, one of the prettiest villages in Somerset. This Inn fits perfectly into this romantic and beautiful area. Have not stayed over (live in the next village) but this would be a choice if not on our doorstep. Service: 5 Location: 5

A truly fabulous dinner and overnight stay at the Talbot Inn. The staff were all very polite and friendly, making us feel very welcome. There is a great selection of drinks, including their own Talbot Ale and some delicious cocktails. We enjoyed our dinner, and the pecan pie dessert stole the show! Our room was very clean, exceptionally spacious and well stocked with all you'd want. All in all a very enjoyable night away and I expect we'll be back! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Food yummy, menu changed daily and was very unique, not just the usual pub grab . We had the fish board smoked mackerel pate, smoked salmon, crispy prawns bread, Dessert baked white chocolate cheesecake with italian meringue, mocha semifreddo hazelnut crumb raspberry cream. When I booked I told them it was our wedding anniversary and we'd bring our two dogs. When we arrived our server Amy handed us menu's wishing us a happy anniversary.
