We enjoyed Sunday lunch here and the food was superb! The Mushrooms/Fungi, was enough to turn anyone veggie! We'll be back for sure.

Fine as a pub but massively lacking as a restaurant. Food used to be very good but ownership has changed recently. Inconsistent opening times, poor food, like really poor, and not cheap considering

My recent visit to this restaurant left much to be desired. The food was underwhelming, particularly the burgers, which tasted like frozen patties. The atmosphere lacked appeal, and the options for beer were limited. All in all, it was a disappointing experience.

Went for Sunday lunch and what a smashing time we had. A really great family village pub serving up some delicious food. Our Roast chicken was superb, loads of vegetables to accompany it but for me it was the sticky toffee pudding an absolute delight. One of the best I’ve tasted in years. Thank you Yvette and Co and especially their new chef. Well done guys.

First visit to the alpha as local to the premises.food ok but plates cold. My wife’s had curry and chips and the only thing warm was the chips ,my scampi and chips was ok but the peas were stone cold as the plate..no table check was made .on proceeding to pay the bill we asked to pay £50.10 but the actual bill was was £36.60 after we asked for that to be checked . Value for money? Don’t think we will be revisiting

The photo of the leftovers from Chris and Sarah's Sunday Lunch doesn't do it justice! The restaurant was busy during their first service on Mothering Sunday, but the wait was definitely worth it. The roast beef dinner was delicious, with huge portions for a great price, and the Biscoff cheesecake was absolutely amazing. It was wonderful to see food back on the table at The Alpha and Chris and Sarah returning to cook. I can't wait to see what else is on their menu!

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and had a great meal, so I often recommended it to others. However, on my recent visit, I noticed a decline in quality. I ordered two burgers and a chicken curry, but they were just average. I paid extra for one of the burgers with pulled pork, but there was hardly any on it to justify the higher price. The chips were okay, but the curry looked like it came from a jar. I didn't like that the condiments were served in small pots. Overall, the meal was disappointing and I won't be going back.

Ate here on Friday evening with my partner and mother in law and the food was outstanding. I had the steak loaded fries and cheesy garlic bread buguette, all of which were incredible. Such a big portion really good value for money! My partner had Lasagne and again, good portion and sooo tasty. The mother in law had the fish and chips which was also delishious the home made chips are probably up there with the best we've had! We went for Sunday lunch and had a wonderful experience! The friendly staff greeted us, seated us, and took our drink order promptly. Our waitress was lovely and accommodating, making sure our needs were met. The garlic mushrooms on ciabatta were delicious, with just the right amount of garlic and served hot. The main courses of beef, lamb, and chicken were cooked perfectly and all the trimmings were delicious. The Sticky Toffee pudding was light and tasty, served with a rich sauce and creamy custard. The meal was fantastic and great value for money. The staff were attentive and efficient. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful dining...
