The Beach House Cafe

We have been using this great little place for 12 years now and the food and staff are the best. Our original visit was at the suggestion of local fishermen. You don't get a better recommendation than that. Mike and Sue Stock

The Beach House Cafe is a fabulous place for vegan and vegetarian breakfasts, their Shakshukas are amazing. My favorite at the moment is the Banana Blossom ‘fish and chips’ it is so delicious, the only place in Lyme that serves it. Locals love this friendly café.

The menu at this restaurant offers about three vegan options, but the standout dish is the Shakshouka. It is a refreshing break from the typical options found in an English coastal town, and it is delicious. The dish comes with Pita bread and the location by the sea is beautiful.

Visited The Beach House Cafe again for Breakfast, this has to be the best place to go in Lyme Regis for breakfast. The menu is extensive and all cooked to a high standard with a mix of English and Middle Eastern, to accommodate everybody. If there is one place to eat make this your first choice

We visited today and I was impressed with the vegan shashuka it was delicious. The cafe was well set up for covid restrictions and the proprietor explained that there would usually be more vegan options but they had needed to simplify the menu due to the restrictions. I would have given 5 stars but the site won't let me. Thank you

The café was well-equipped to comply with COVID restrictions, and the owner mentioned that they usually have more vegan options on the menu, but had to simplify it due to the current limitations. Gorgeous position on Seaton beach with panoramic views of the sea, best viewed from the upstairs restaurant booking recommended. We ate here twice in our weeks stay. Separate vegan menu upstairs and staff knowledgeable on what is and isn't vegan. Cauliflower starter delicious. Really enjoyed skewers and coconut pannacotta (made without gelatine) too. Burger was ok. Downstairs is pizza not sure if they have any vegan options there. Couldn't see any vegan dishes at cafe takeout either.

We dined here twice during our stay and were impressed by the separate vegan menu available upstairs. The staff were knowledgeable about vegan options and guided us on what to choose. The cauliflower starter was particularly delicious, and we also enjoyed the asparagus and coconut pannacotta without gelatine. The burger was just okay. We were unsure if the downstairs pizza place offered any vegan options. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any vegan dishes available at the Cafe Takeout.
