"The experience wasn't as enjoyable as a Sunday carvery. There were two small children in the pub who seemed to be there because someone from the staff didn't want to arrange childcare, so they brought the kids to work instead. I almost ran into one of them while inquiring about where to sit. I wasn't very impressed; I suppose the locals have become accustomed to children being around. The price per person was between £20 and £30."

This restaurant serves the best steak and ale pie, along with potatoes and three vegetables, all accompanied by generous servings of gravy. I was completely stuffed and had to use a doggy bag! The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is due to some other pre-bookings that affected my experience.

It's an OK pub. Needs to get some vegan food on the menu. Virtaually nothing for vegans on the menu. Toilets were very grubby. Staff are brilliant although one had brought her child to work.
