"Just went here for a valentine's 3 course dinner. The staff were all so lovely and friendly and made us feel really welcome. The glass of bubbly on arrival was also a very nice touch! The spicy-tomato sauce served with the bread was super tasty!...The French onion soup was honestly magnificent and the pepper gravy served with the pork fillet main was one of the most delicious things I've ever had the pleasure of tasting!! The crackling was also phenomenal. The espresso brulee was not particularly brulee-like, but super tasty none-the-less. A light and airy dessert, it was perfect for someone who is full up from the starter and main but still wanted something sweet to wrap everything up We also received a cute little packet of Valentine's themed sweets which was lovely. The only things that I wasn't so keen on: The mousse that accompanied the smoked salmon had a very odd after-taste. It tasted like salmon-infused lemonade that was foamed up. I didn't feel that the flavour was right for the salmon (which was lovely and something with a less distinctive and sweet flavour might match better. The roasted smashed potatoes were not quite as crunchy and roasted as I would have liked, but still tasty."

I have been here on a number of occasions and it has never failed to impress, delicious food, generous portions for a great price. They often do set menus for different days in the week so look out for some of their mid week deals!...The service is always great and the atmosphere is lovely!

visited here on a Friday night and we were the only table all night. the eating was nice and the service of the personal was great, both in the restaurant above and in the bar below. good menu and perfect portion sizes. I had the cow and. my friend had the huh kiew, both served with potatoes and sweet. Dessert options were also good. our waitress suggested to come back to her Roast dinner on a Sunday, to which we will reserve safely in future. highly recommended. Visualizza piatti

first visit since the reopening of the restaurant. the menu is quite as I remembered, but with comprehensible some price increases. Saturday night, not very busy. whitebait was nice, but portion size was small good job, they get some focaccia and dips with. to start. a heaper was again rather small for the price and came without sauce; that would have pointed out to order, but the waiting staff was obviously still learning. pie main was good; boar a bit hard. with drinks 2 courses plus 1 cheese board came at £50 per head, so this is far from a cheap option. In view of the competition, I would not rush back, but I said that they have success, as it is nowhere else decent to eat in higham!

First visit even though lived in Higham for 18 years. Booked a table but of the 16 tables available there was us and one other couple. We were then alone for the last 45 minutes! Very well presented place. Very attentive service. Bruschetta starter was...not as expected. a pizza base and too large for a starter. Scotch egg was tasty but again large for a starter. Mains were ample in size and good quality. Cheese board huge for one, large for two and could happily serve three! Took some home! Chocolate cheesecake more a mouse but lovely. Prices are fair. Prosecco £25 a bottle. Three course deal for £25 not including cheese board is good value. Starter and main generally around £23-24 so might...

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
