Excellent Sunday lunch here today, very well prepared and presented, helpful and friendly staff served with a smile, we will be returning. Good value for money too. Recommended

Absolutely brilliant. The staff were great and on hand throughout and the food was delightful. I struggle to find a lasagne that is genuinely homemade and delicious and this was certainly that!

fantastic meal and very good value. looks beautiful and very tasty! a lot of an old worldly pub, decor could do with updating, but could not mistake the food. so much we returned to Sunday dinner. large portions with a beautiful selection of vegetables.

beautiful pub with decent menu. has an outside area that is half covered with a log burner. the personal is friendly and chatting. it is a big pub with many rooms. eating is well presented and not too expensive. the facility in restaurant is a mix of a Mexican hacienda and an 80s bistro, not sure whether that is the intended look.

On Thursday we met up with two special friends for our annual Christmas Lunch at the Castle Inn. What a lovely time we had, the best 3 course meal we’ve had out all year!!! My husband and I had the fillet of beef for main, it was superb. All 3 courses were beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked. Thank you so much.

Very welcoming. They were short staffed in the kitchen do lunch in the restaurant was not available. Whilst we were assuaging our disappointment in the bar, there came the welcome news that, if we wished, we could have bar meals. Delighted to accept. The overall impression was that of a good welcome and the need to ensure enjoyment for their customers. Well done The Castle.

we had a fantastic Sunday dinner here, the young girls who served us were really friendly and made sure that the door was closed to the outside sitting area behind her (it was cold when it was open). the food was nice and the meat we had was well cooked. the best starter and the apple crumbs were both delicious. we'll be back in a definitive way, but maybe not next to the back door. definitiw recommended
