We had a fantastic welcome from the host with a refreshing drink of Jag cold water. The food was fabulous with great taste and presentation, and the restaurant was clean. This was our first time dining here and we strongly recommend giving it a try.

Highly recommended. I went with my friends and we give a unanimous 'Fantastic ' review. Mike gave us a warm welcome to his pub. He also answered the many questions we fired at him about its history. Locally sourced food, prepared by Chelle, scrummy. We had the sharing steak platter, including garlic mushrooms, roasted onions, fries and peppercorn sauce. My husband and I visited this restaurant while staying at the lakeside campsite and what a fantastic discovery!! On Saturday, we decided to try the food without a reservation, and they said we could have a table in 45 minutes. We chose the £30 steak sharing platter, with the option to add mussels for surf and turf. We were both impressed by the amount of meat provided in the steak platter, as well as the garlic mushrooms, seasoned fries, burnt onion, and peppercorn sauce. The peppercorn sauce was creamy and delicious, just the way I like it. The mussels came with garlic bread on the side, perfect for soaking up the sauce!
