Overall the service is friendly and efficient, food from the regular (non Sunday menu is good , well cooked and very reasonable prices . Only issue was by a table of noisy children, not the restaurants fault , parents letting kids run wild

This restaurant is fantastic! The staff is very welcoming and the interior is warm and cozy. The food is delicious and of great quality. The lemon meringue cheesecake was especially amazing! If we are in the area again, we will definitely be dining here again.

I have stayed at Penwylln Lodges multiple times over the past 11 years. My favorite part of the stay has always been dining at the restaurant. However, during my visit in July 2023, the unfriendly welcome from the staff and management has deterred me from returning to the pub.

Brilliant service at this restaurant, we came for my grandads birthday and the staff really made a fuss of him and were really attentive to all our needs. The food delicious (definitely recommend the duck) the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be back in the future, thankyou to all of the lovely staff for an amazing experience.

This dog friendly pub restaurant is fantastic! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, to be honest if it were a blind tasting and I did not know that we were in a pub I would not doubt it if somebody said that we were in a Michelin star restaurant. The decor is a perfect blend of traditional county pub and high quality modern countryside living. We will certainly be coming back.

Service was terrible from all staff . Even the manger/ owner . Said table was ready got given food and no cutlery except 1 folk on table . No condiments offered or on the table. Hard to get attention of staff. Wrong meal given to what was ordered . What manger should have done was taken all meals back and bring them all back out when correct order was right that way everyone eats together. There is a saying ,, how the great fall ,, so just a matter of time till the next owners take over . While on our way to Swansea, we decided to stop for dinner with our 4-year-old and 3-year-old kids. We stumbled upon The Nags Head, and dining with little ones can sometimes be challenging. However, the staff at this restaurant went above and beyond to make our kids feel welcome from start to finish. The food was fantastic, and my husband, son, and I enjoyed every bite. Unfortunately, my daughter found her pasta sauce a bit too spicy and refused to eat it. The staff noticed and offered her something else, which was amazing. I have just returned from my weekend away at this wonderful establishment. Aga and her team have made the whole weekend memorable for all of us. From sorting out our lovely rooms to sorting out our dinner and lunch tables nothing has been too much trouble for them. We had such a fabulous meal at The Nags Head. We were visiting Powys for the weekend and this was a highlight of our trip. We managed to book a table for Saturday night but they were busy so definitely don't leave it too late to book or you might be disappointed. We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff who showed us to our table. Its nicely decorated and the tables were set with care.
