The restaurant offers a good variety of dishes from two menus. All the food was expertly cooked and nicely presented. The service was attentive, yet not overbearing.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here recently. The outside of building could put you off, it is ex MOD, but inside it's great with fabulous views. Food is locally sourced and freshly cooked. The hand cut chips were amazing!

I'll keep it short and sweet, staff very friendly and couldn't do enough and the food and service in the resturant was fantastic! We would definitely visit again. Don't expect to much from the looks but the view and surrounding area was lovely.

The lunch we had was excellent, with a very high standard. The staff was great and both my partner and I enjoyed our meals - I had a burger and my partner had a salad, both beautifully presented. The onion rings were delicious and the chips were great. We definitely plan to return again. Additionally, the view from the hotel was stunning.

We enjoyed dinner at The Cliff Panoramic Restaurant on Tuesday 29th October. We only had a main course having indulged in a Devon cream tea in the afternoon! Both were delicious and represented extremely good value for money. The restaurant is a large glass box on the front of the hotel to give great sea views. However, it was impressively dark when we were there, but I guess will be beautiful on a summer's evening.

Live local and took some visiting family out for a fine dining experience. We all had three courses and cleared our plates. The rib-eye was cooked the way I requested it. A good choice of wines, we had a bottle of Chilean Merlot, and it complemented the meal. The staff were friendly, happy helpful. We sat on the sofas in the bar area at the end of the meal with our coffees/liquors not wanting this nice relaxing evening to end. We will be back, with family/friends or as a couple. It's the place to eat on Portland.

We had an early dinner at 7pm on a January evening and were very impressed with the quality and service of the set menu. We enjoyed dishes such as scallops, terrine, lamb rump, and sirloin, all of which were cooked perfectly. The restaurant quickly filled up within an hour, and the high quality of the meals was evident. Despite being a bit far out, the restaurant is definitely worth the trip. I can imagine that on a summer evening, the place will be very busy and booking in advance will be essential. A big thank you to all the staff for a fantastic dining experience.

We had breakfast each morning of our 2 day stay and dinner here on the Friday evening. Views are stunning. Dinner was very good value and food very good quality especially the scallops and steak. Excellent Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely white crockery too. There was a good choice of continental breakfast as well as cooked. I asked one morning if there were Ryvitas (I know not everyone's taste) and although there were not, the Restaurant Manager made sure there were some the next morning ...! A small request but I was impressed with the effort! Well done to all. You do not have to be resident to eat here so well worth a visit!

The location is an ugly former naval HQ that nearly made us turn around and go elsewhere, but we were glad we didn't. The building is now a hotel and spa, and the restaurant is on the first floor, jutting-out over the main entrance and giving diners great views of Portland Bill on three sides of the room. The service was both good and friendly. The lunch menu isn't extensive but the quality of the food was excellent. The mains took a while to come but this was obviously because they were being freshly prepared. My wife has eaten Caesar salad all over the world but she said this was the best she's ever had.
