"what a fantastic place, pub... while my daughter and my beloved went to the lighthouse, I stopped here for a couple of beers and only had a phone with a credit card, which worked once ordered. The second beer card didn't work ,so the chap behind the bar paid another guy. I was chatting to paid for a beer for me....when my beloved came in, I did buy beers back ... but how nice was that... also I probably found out more sitting in this pub than going to the lighthouse Best day"

Stopped off after a bike ride did not stay long enough to draw any conclusions. They were doing Wednesdays mid week roasts for 5..99.which seemed to be a substantial plate full by I never tried it.

Good food and drink and very hospital and tidy. Local gave up his his table so our group of four could sit and drink/eat together. Prawn sandwiches and a poke of chips. Very good. Good pint of Doombar. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Looked like it's been done up recently. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Expect solid portions of tasty British food rather than fine dining. Kids menu was OK.
