I was disappointed with the vegetable lasagna; there were hardly any vegetables in it. It felt like I was just eating the pasta sheets with cheese. I won't be ordering that again.

I first came here in May 2023 -we sort of fell upon The George by accident and had a really delicious meal. I returned again last week with my son and partner for an evening meal even though it was not on our planned route. Again the food was delicious , the staff were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The general atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. I will take a detour again no doubt to enjoy the hospitality, atmosphere and tasty well cooked food. Service: 5 Visualizza piatti

Ten of us had lunch at The George Inn following my mother's funeral in September 2023. Before our visit, Natasha was extremely helpful in providing various menus and recommending a private room for our gathering. On the day of our meal, The George Inn exceeded our expectations. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. We also had a lovely room to ourselves, which added to the experience. Moreover, the value for what we received was excellent. I would highly recommend it for a delightful meal in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Service: 5 Location: 5

Absolutely fantastic village pub. Great price Friendly staff The two steaks for therity pounds deal was amazing and a fantastic steak . Nearby activities: With in an hours drive of Glastonbury town, Cheeder Gorge, and beaches. Also the rummored resting place/ places of King Arther. Walkability: From where we were camping there was a walk up and down a very steep hill. However there was at least one other bed and breakfast in the village and it would be a very easy walk. Food drinks: A nice selection of food and drink. The staff are very very happy to help with allergies and drink recommendations. Fantastic value for money. From check in to check out my stay was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and I felt very welcome; not just another guest. The food was fantastic, their home beer The George was delicious and the home made ice cream was exceptional. My room (with a very welcome upgrade to a double) was impeccably clean, spacious and the comfortable ensured a great night 's sleep. The location is great with a shop, pub and restaurant on site there was no need for me to go anywhere else during my stay.
