"We hosted a family reunion for 26 people. When we arrived, everything was well organised for us. We pre-ordered to make things easier for the chef and everything flowed. The staff members who waited on us were Taisha and Mia and they were super efficient. I have to say all staff were lovely, but T and M were the two who helped us that evening. The food is traditional, good pub food. The lasagna was delicious, the steaks tender and the chilli hot! Fish and chips amazing. Very reasonably priced! The staff were very professional, and we had several young people at the party and the waitress was very conscientious about ensuring no under age drinking. We respected her professionalism. I can highly recommend the Globe for large parties."

Despite having booked previously we were given a table in the passageway. Where staff were passing to and fro constantly. The food was very mediocre, beef tough, vegetables not fresh, roast potatoes too hard to cut. Best was the cauliflower cheese and the waffles. First and last time going there. Very overpriced.

Excellent service, food etc. I only didn't give 5 stars as we sat in a gloomy corner, otherwise the experience was a perfect Sunday Lunch. However, the gloomy corner was the only table available, so we took it. It just needs a wall or floor light to brighten that spot (table for two in the area leading into the conservatory). The Sunday roast was absolutely perfect... delicious!
