"Last Friday, my partner and I went to Gwesty for lunch. We had booked in advance and were informed upon being seated that there might be a short wait due to several tables being ahead of us. We assured them that we were not in a rush. I ordered the faggots and peas, while my partner had the large haddock and chips. After about 25 minutes, our meals arrived. The faggots were incredibly large, almost like cannonballs, and the haddock was massive, reminiscent of Moby Dick! The food was piping hot and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, we were both too full to try a dessert. We will definitely be returning to Gwesty in the future."

We visited twice in December for drinks in and around Christmas. Always warm and welcoming and the wine was lovely. Not overpriced. Will be back in January to try the food as it looked lovely.

Yet another great meal at The Gwesty. We usually go for Sunday roast, but today had a light (crying with laughter emoji) lunch of veggie burger and chips for me, and faggots and peas for him. Both meals were immaculately presented and perfectly cooked. If I had to offer any criticism, it would be that it was simply too much food. Unfortunately because it was so good, I just had to keep eating it rather than stop when I was full. Naughty Gwesty! Would also be good to have one or two more veggie options if possible, please. Fab staff as well. Top marks.
