"With restrictions, the sun is out... my little family of 2 adults and two children under 10 were in the mood for a treat. Hare and Hounds have not disappointed. We tried the Tofu-Buo-Buos and our taste buds were blown! Then to follow excellent crispy and generously proportional fish and chips for dad and the two children, while mom enjoyed a beautiful poached sea stream dishes. Dessert was also a creditor, the chocolate corner. Unusually I know, but we enjoyed a beautiful, rich dark old Veinfandel with our fish sauce. And half a pinch of Bambino as a palate cleaner! We left with satisfied appetites and look forward to our next return. The menu changes every month we believe."

What a beautiful pub! Tiny (to modern standards), but with a large, varied menu. Sunday lunch was a huge part, and the 'junior' part was perfect tbh. Friendly staff was the 'own' on a delicious 'cheek' thanks.

Fantastic country pub with a great atmosphere and selection of beers. I visit very regularly and all the staff are fantastic and kind, being served by Emma and Kat is always a pleasure. We ate lunch in the beer garden as it was a lovely sunny day. A good choice of drinks, including Aspalls on draught, which is always a bonus! Our toasted ciabatta sandwiches (bacon, egg and crispy hash-brown) with a side order of chips were delicious! The other menu choices all looked good too. Dietary restrictions: My friend is gluten intolerant, but the chef came out discuss her dietry needs. Very good. Parking: Gravel parking area, so not great for motorbikes.
